According to the nfo theres no cracked .exe file but when I click on the dragonshard.exe file it says insert correct cd. I tried to mount both cds in the daemon and it still says insert correct cd. What am I doing wrong?

Worked with All Options Emu Off when i used Daemon 3.47
If things dont work, always, always, run a windows diagnostic (with a program like Norton Windoctor which is included in Norton SystemWorks 2005 - 06 should be out soon i'd say), run a virus scan, run a hardware diagnostic scan (on all the main devices - cd/dvd drive(s), hd(s) etc),
run an adware/spyware scan. Go to www.lavasoft.com for a good free adware scanner.
After u do that, and after u have made sure ur not skipping something in the nfo, post with ur problem. Alot of problems are simply the user's machine is fucked up in some way and not do to a bad release, or the user simply doesnt understand/forgot something.

I think they're are other threads in this section and in the pc games section that may be able to help u...try sticking to one or 2 threads when it comes to posting problems. Just because the title isnt the same as ur problem, ppl will see that there is a new post and will view it, so dont worry about not getting help. That way, we dont have a million threads about the same game and its easier to find information and get help....some ppl think Im being mean when I reply saying "use existing thread"...this is the reason for it. Its for everyone's benefit and it has nothing to do with being "l33t".

I tried using daemon with all the emus checked which i never needed to do before with all the many games ive installed over the years, but that didnt work either. I even burned it with alcohol using safedisc 2/3 like the nfo says and then when I run the .exe on my computer it reads from the disc for a minute and get stuck at the dragonshard splash screen and then just crashes. Same thing happens when I click autoplay from the disc. Im no newbie to installing games and 99.9% are no problem I dont get why im having such a hard time with this one.

If i had gotten around to actually gettin into the game, then I'd continue, but uninstall, and delete it..no point to play it with Aoe III out

Aoe III is a strategy game building towns and stuff I hate those kind of games. I was under the impression from what I read that Dragonshard played more like a RPG and from the screenshots it looks like my kind of game. Aoe looks like the kind of game i dont enjoy.

well dragonshard tries to mimic features from warcraft 3 - like hero items, etc. but you still need to build a base & upgrade it, produce troops, etc.
trouble is AoE III with its wicked graphics & decent RTS gameplay destroys Dragonshard utterly ! check out them bloom effects, they're blooming marvellous :-O

ok thanks im deleting Dragonshard then, cuz i dont like bothering with building bases and troops. Too time consuming to me, I just like the action of combat not RTS or stratrgy. Thanks everyone for your help anyway. Sorry I kinda wasted your time since this doesnt look like I game I would have liked anyway.

funny thing is i just got it to install. I didnt realize i didnt have the latest daemon tools installed and as soon as I got that it worked right away. One game that has troops and no base is that 1942 game. Its ok. I like more of the shooter type or rpg game like Dungeon Siege or Fable The Lost Chapters and I was hoping this was going to be similar to that.
