we all know that you can do it in Linux with save sessions current working on .. and restart , you will restore sessions ...

like you open 3 programs on taskbar and all open windows .. all you will restore it .

how i can make this option on Windows Xp ?

that's save setting and also i do it with mirc to save current channel or servers .

hey , i mean windows tasks if the power off , or restart the computer restore all on the taskmanager and all programs at same , and i don't have to close the programs ..

that's for if the power went down or the computer close it self or anything wrong , should restore all tasks and so .. that's all i'm thinking of ..

I think hes talking about that... Though I really doubt the programs can do that or get a program which can do that since you completely turn off the whole package when you press the button Razz

Only the mobos circuit is alive and I really doubt anything in there can do that..

[sYn] no , i don't mean this ..

hibernate thing for use hibernate option or shutdown computer , what if i don't want restart or shutdown and do all stuff without restart .. so .. i need

! save windows settings [ when you shutdown computer it's save settings ]

! save all prossings tasks just like hibernate .. but without restart or shutdown ..

what if i press reset buttom wrongly or the power gose down .. this is my meaning .. auto save option so no more loss of all tasks ..

a program like to save all windows settings / all opend programs / registery / all drivers so i don't lose it ..

something like autobackup !

if there is a programer around here can make it with session save option , will be much better.

if there a program can do it , so tell me what it is .. ?!

Hibernate saves everything, even stores the RAM onto your harddrive and loads it back up when your turn your computer on again, the only problem is, if you PC crashes you have to boot windows normally, which isnt what the dude is looking for :\

Cant be done, you cut the power to your PC and your RAM is wiped, so you loose the information and things stored in it.

In hibernate the computer shuts down and saves an image of the memory( with all running processes) in either the memory itsself (you need standby power for that) or the computer writes it to the hard drive. With sudden power loss your pc can't shut down normally, without power it can not run any script or program, unless you have an offline/online ups.
