Is it only me or should the scene start releasing untouched retail DVDs in DVD9 format in conjunction with the usual DVD5s? Is there enough demand out there to make it happen?

Hell! 3-4 bucks is pretty good from what I saw! Try 6-8 CAD + tax Smile

About Hitman: Movie (2007)
Vin Diesel is a hardcore gamer, and absolutely loves the Hitman series. For that reason I have faith that he wont destroy the movie.

Response: Well, Uwe Boll probably loved the Alone in the Dark games.

I did see 3 releases in DVD9 format but did not get them nor do I remember which ones they were. So some groups do release DVD9.

Scene groups have been doing dvd9's for quite some time... If there's a dvd9, I grab it, takes me about an 1 hour and 20 minutes to pull one down.

Depends on the size as always Wink ^^

I would say no to dvd9 since most people don't really like the extra's and it would be cheaper to download a 2 dvd release then to make a dvd9 release. The place I do see dvd9 coming in handy though is High Def movies/Tv shows. Downloading a 7-9 gig high def movie is deffinetly something that will come to be a big thing in the next couple years.

Well, I haven't seen any of them here so far. Prehaps by creating a subcatatagory of some sort for dvd9 and dual dvd5s may help ^^

The thing I don't like is downsampling. Extras and other stuff can be ripped off. But not the main movie and its audio....

Why should it be listed on nforce? It doesn't matter who releases it since nothing is done to it, only removing the copyprotection, but everybody can do that. Also dvd5 is always earlier, or the same time as the dvd9 release. So no use listing it here.

I do believe nforce uses the tag *DVD9* in their nfo descriptions, if the media requires a DVD9 tage

Cinema Craft Encoder ... it's what the scene releases are encoded with ...

It's a bit more of a process both knowledge wise (at least the first time) and time wise (like anywhere from 4-10+ hours for a good encode), but since I don't do it often, it's ok.

the retail cost is like $2000 http://www.omnidvdmedia.com/products_cinemacraftsp.shtml

but you know, you can just warez the damn thing Very Happy

not quality burn, quality encode Wink

if I'm just cutting extra crap out I do it with dvd shrink or clonedvd if the compression is only like 90% ... but for those long movies it looks much better with CCE.

Wtf are you talking about? I don't use slowforce for dupechecks there's pb for that. I get untouched stuff, and no dvd9 isn't later, depends on the main rls date.

*DVD9 Untouched* That's the main reason I get it, and sometimes for the extras
BTW they usually strip down a dvd9 - dvd5 (copy protection lol)

CCE Pass on a high level beats the crap out of dvdsrhink, I don't care ,If it's untouched I grab it Smile

Why should they list it on slowforce? Once again I don't use it for a dupecheck and I don't care if slowforce doesn't list 70% of the new scene releases, I only post in the boards/nfo's Very Happy

I know.. 99% of the people in here use nforce as a dupecheck, which is fine for their needs, I actually love the boards.. I mean if it's not flaming there's something else, like movies/games etc, and I like it Smile
