Here's the problem, when a movie is played, the whole picture is displayed in negative colours, and the picture plays in the upper part of the screen, leaving the whole bottom part of the screen black, and matters worse the picture is split in two.. very weird, i'm with the most recent codec pack, what can be the problem ?

What video card are you using?
Mabye the game doesent support your type of video card

is there any other drivers updated like sound?
I notice this game hates old sound drivers and alota screetching noises happen at times

or you may have a missing video codec im not sure the only ones I have on my computer are typicly, Xvid, Divx, cyberlink powerdvd codec, and intervideo codec

Well i'm with radeon 9000pro 2, latest direct X, and all the drivers are up to date,this type of problem occurs only with the prerended scenes (that are avaible in the extras menu) and don't involve the ingame experience...i'm using k-lite codec pack, everything else is OK, but this is rather annoying problem Confused

As you said , your k-lite codec pack...

its well known these pack create a lot of problem .
