Also WoW end game is just.. well... very guild based, you need a good guild or your game ends at 60... too bad... Blizz should have for seen that, oh well. |
same here, i didnt "quit" it, but i dont play as i used to. just go to raids with guid 1-2 times a week. boring.

Pizda2, I know what you're talking about. The same happens to me. I have already cancelled the account. 5 days to freeze it. The same reasons.
In other words: znam to uczucie.

It's like digital crack, just stay clear of mmorpgs and you'll be fine.

End-game in WoW is a joke - way too repetetive. Lets hope the upcoming expansion will bring somethnig new besides more mindless grinding.

ahh another one bites the dust! welcome to the wow support group! It was fun at the beginning but the non stop instance runs for items (MC BWL ZG), ninja looters, no new stuff that was really fun sealed the deal for me. Are you selling your account or wait for the exp?

every mmorpg is like that.
wow is the only mmorpg that even let you get above lvl 20 without beeing forced into groups to gain exp
unless you count eve online which didnt have levels just money and real time based skill training but once you got far into a skill chain it can take 4+ months just for one extra point in an ability

It was pretty hard to let go yes, I have been playing WoW since EU closed beta, nov 2004. I have lost... litterally... weeks... pure weeks of life on that game, maybe even months. Days of 12 - 15 hours of playing, fucking crazy.
I have a lvl 60 paladin which never experienced MC because Paladin's there are too much goodluck finding a good guild. I also have a lvl 52 shaman, did ST a couple of times then I realized It was getting way too boring, going through all instances at 60 to get gear.... getting the epic mount again pff.... I simply don't have the time I used to have.
Now I'm back to random gaming, what gets released I play, if any good games come by I buy them, back to the old days.
Everytime I see WoW or a picture of it it hurts me I want to go back and play but It's best that I not.

ahh i see you werent a hardcore MC raider from the beginning and the other end game instances with multiple lvl 60's. but still you did waste alot of time and real life is cool I guess but I have the urge like you to play but I can resist.

edit: btw with my paladin I found a very good guild, i mean all you do is heal and cleanse in the end game stuff you still get loot becuase not alot of people are playing them as much as they used to

im just happy that i dont get addicted, to anything it seems, so far.
MMORPG's..
i get bored with them reaaaal quick, no matter what game it is, bored bored bored, there is always soo much more to do in singleplayer games (with multiplayer, but singleplayer as in the core). Soo much cooler physics, graphics, everything, since it doesnt have to be uglified because there has to be 200 newbs running around selling their wooden swords.
Just look at FlatOut, amazing physics and damage model, great car handling and feeling, now look at Auto Assault, ok not many of you have played the beta of that, but let me tell you, its just as "ugh ugh stoneage" as every other mmorpg COMPARED to "normal" games.
A game such as F.E.A.R., if transformed into a mmorpg.. It would be uglified so every newbie can run it on "max", it would be dumbed down, press shoot and wait for the calculations to decide. It would be physically dumbed down, impact particle physics and real-time shadows from the lights that move when you shoot them? Forget it.
I usually sign up with a mmorpg whenever i come into a period of my life where i feel really really alone or something, then its damn fun to have a game and at the same time kind of a chat-program in one package, but when im Not that desperate, if i want to have fun on the computer, i play the most enjoyable game i can find on my hd, and that has never been a MMORPG so far.
