I've followed the NFO down to the smallest detail. But it just will not start. It keeps saying when I start the game to try the dvd in another drive.

Could someone who has got the game to work run me through what they did, it would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

well there are a few ways to do this.

1. The way in the instructions.txt
2. Burn the disk with Alcohol 120% on RAW/DAO 4x. TOC "reccomended". Then mount the CD in a cdrom drive (not burner) or USB 2.0 External drive.
3. Run as in the instructions.txt, but dont use SFnightmare. Simply unhook your drives via the cable.

One of these should work.

Nope its still not working if I unplug my dvd drive and start the game it takes a while and then tells me the serial number doesn't match.

And if I try it any other way it keeps telling me to put the disc in a different drive

What am I doing wrong?

I've got SP2 installed, and I think I have standard IDE drivers as I've uninstalled my Nvidia ones.

Many thanks

This game is working, SF Nightmare isn't. The message "insert the DVD into another drive" is caused by the fact that the protection is "seeing" your roms. I've unplugged my roms and the game does a 2 sec check...and there you go. Not the most elegant way to play a game...but it's what I have for the moment.

check the properties of my computer on your desktop on top you find HARDWARE and in that tab you will find device manager on top, press that and you will find all this stuff, I got nvidia's nforce mobo drivers , and it works like a charme.
