I burned a backup copy of civ 4. before i burned it, i opened the image and made a folder called "patch" and put in the official 1.09 upgrade patch so i wouldn'nt need to redownload it. When i then tried to install it on a new comp, it said that it couldn't locate setup.dll
what do I do. is this some sort of protection?

u cant add any type of file to a clone when you burn it...any tampering with the image will fuck up everything |

then how do people like hoodlum put folders with their cracks into the image? Also i used magiciso when i was doing this, and before when i added a couple folders to an ISO of finale, a music composing program it worked fine?

Groups lke HOODLUM released cracked games, if you extract the content of a clone image (mdf/mds) then make a ISO, yo fuck up the protection that was added in the clone image file.
If its a Cracked version, be sure that you extract all files (happened to me sometimes to forget one) then when you make a new mage/burn it as a data DVD, be sure to give it the same labeled name, in that case its B&W2_BoLLuH
If you want to burn a clone image, make a data DVD wth the image unopened and add everythng you want on the DVD, Then all yo have to do s mount the clone image from yor DVD to install it.
