I had this same problem with evil dead regeneration dvdclone. I tried a zillion different things and still had no results, apart from the antiblaxx completely screwing daemontools for me. Only left me with one choice after that and that was to get the cd version which worked fine straight off.
The antiblaxx thing seems to only work for some people and not others. i guess its a config problem somewhere in peoples pcs. But im waiting for a cd version i guess coz i dont want to get the dvd version only to have it not work ;/

alright, when i try to run this game through anti-blaxx using alcohol i get this message:

"A required security module can not be activated. This program can not be executed"

i had this same message over and over when i was trying to get the Myst5 clone to work, but i eventually got it...

anyone know how to set-up anti-blaxx for F.E.A.R.? the nfo's pretty much useless, except for the key.

Thanks very much in advance

I got it to start, but it crashes in the begining of the presentation. Then I skuped the presentation and it crashes at the first minute of the game.
I'm guessing my gfx card is not enough for this: RX600 @128.
Could this be the problem?

thx

I tried both ways (Al0h0l + Anti-blaxx & Daemon + SR7 Stop), damn, I also tried just startin' tha game without any emu running, but the result is always the same: IT FREAKIN' FREEZES MY PC UP - no change of screen or anything, just a frozen piece of metal... I also tried disabling sound and other crap... same as above... did ne1 had this happening before?

Here's my config:
AMD 64 4400+ Dual Core
2Gb Mem
PLENTY of HHDD space
NVIDIA GT6600

I'll try re-installing the DX9c now... crossing my fingers... if it won't work, screw it... I'll play Pac-Man Twisted Evil

Son of a gun... IT WORKED!!! Laughing

All you did was re-install DX9c and it didn't do that hardlock crash anymore? Mine is doing the same shit. Loads fine and I can play for liek 10 mins or so, then boom.

Get into the SUPPORT subdir in the DVD and install the Microsoft Codecs as well (WMFADist.exe) this AND the DX9c did the trick 4 me...

1. Make sure you have Alcohol 120% version 1.9.5 build 2802 or newer.

2. Make sure you have Virtual CD Hide 1.0.0.4 or newer (you can get it here: VirtualCDHide v1.0.0.4.rar

3. Mount the image in Alcohol 120%, and shut down Anti-Blax and D-Tools if you have them on.

4. Run Virtual CD Hide. An icon should appear at the taskbar amongst the windows clock.

5. Right click on the Virtual CD Hide icon in the taskbar, and select "Hide all virtual drives"

6. Right click on your FEAR icon on your desktop/startmenu/wherever and set Compability Mode to Windows 2000

7. You're good to go! Enjoy this great game!
