Can some one explain how to use
SR7.Stop and Daemon Tools??
Step by step please.
I can run game with Alcohol 120% and Anti-Blaxx!
But I can't understand how SR7.Stop works.
If I press "Hide" and Run the game it says:
"Please remove disc from current CD/DVD dirve and insert the original disk in another drive I:"
Drive I: is my DVD-ROM
Image is mounted on letter: H:

I don't have any drive in the window.
When I press Hide I get this two lines showen:
Hidden: Vax347s
Hideen: d347prt

SR7.Stop must NOT be running while playing the game.
So says the about screen
i.e. run sr7, click "hide" (if it says nothing to hide, that means your drives are hidden), close sr7
Then launch the game

don't close it :/ If nothing is there just do 'unhide' and then hide again. If you close it with the X it's still running in processes anyway.

This is a bug of the programm as I understood.

Make sure you set the game to start in Windows 2000 compatibility mode. That will solve the issue.

i have the same problem... with SR7_stop... i mounted it with Alcohol 120% and when i run the game i get : Orginal Disc Could not Be found Or Authenticated... what should i do?

Ok nevermind i got it to work NOW...I just burned it DVD and mounted it and works fine now ...thanks....

Is that only for people with windows XP ? I have windows 2000 and do not seem to have that option. I went looking all over the net and found a command to run to enable the option in windows 2000, I did so and see that I only have win 98 and win 95 compatibility modes available.
It dosent seem reasonable to enable windows 2000 compat mode when you are running windows 2000 allready.
Aside from that I have done everything you and others have said to the best of my ability and I have yet to get the game to run
I have tried mounting the image in alcohol 120 and deamon tools, done the whole anti-blaxx thing and I recieve the following error "Original Disc could not be found or authenticated"
My anti-blaxx settings look exactly like " CaptnNemo "'s http://img50.imageshack.us/my.php?image=screensho15gt.jpg
Ideas? I did burn the game via Alcohol120 and install it from the burned DVD would that make a difference?

right i've tried Deamon tools with Stop
i tried antiblaxx with alcohol 120%
i've did everything opisite aswell i keep getin error messages i think i may of black listed my dvd or my software
i deleted everythin out of my registary system restored and retried over and over and over and over a again and i still cannot get this god damm game to launch
nothing seems to want to work can ne1 help or is anyone havin the problem of not being able to launch this fucked up clone of a game i am really loosing my god damm mind
plz any1

Ok for the guys having problems this is how it worked for me:
1 Install Alcohol 1.9.5.3105, use expert installation and enter custom drive names.
2 If installed, uninstall Deamons Tools.
3 Mount the image, install the game and keep the image mounted.
4 Keep image mounted and install AntiBlaxx 1.17, this will also automatically install SecuROM Stop 1.0
5 Manually browse to the installation directory of AntiBlaxx, launch SecuROM Stop, click on hide drives and exit the program.
6 Start the game.

I could't get it to work with Anti-Blaxx or Stop either. Mind you, from what I've read on other forums Anti-Blaxx is a piece of crap and causes a lot of issues with the games it's used on so that's probably a good thing. I'm using an older version of Alcohol to mount the image (1.9.2 build 1705.) so maybe that makes a difference? Also, I couldn't get it to work with a burned DVD of the image, it HAD to be the .mds image mounted through Alcohol (or the image file burned onto a DVD) and then mounted and hidden with VirtualCDHide.
For the person using 2000, I wouldn't imagine that you'd have to use any kind of emulation as whatever the game looks for should be there already, but maybe XP's 2000 emulation does it slightly differently to 2000 itself?
If I were having this much trouble I'd wait for the proper crack (presuming there's going to be one.) It's worth it.

Installing FEAR.......
U will need Deamon Tools or alcohol 120% to mount the image and virtual-cd-hide to hide the drives.... config 4 alcohol 120% mount the image.... config 4 deamon right click on the icon in the taskbar and in emulation put RMPS on and in options put the autolock on and the lock dll on now mount the image with witch ever u wish to use both work then once u have installed the game u will need to hide the drives by clicking on the virtual-cd-hide.exe u will then c 1 more icon pop up in the taskbar close to deamon the right click on it and click on HIDE ALL VIRTUAL DRIVES once this is dun u should c a cross over the icon u know that the drives r now hiden then make a shortcut of the game .exe on to your desktop now right click on the shortcut u just made and goto propertis and click on the compatibiliy tab then set it 2 run in win2000 mode then run the game this should now play. When u want to play the game each time u will need to mount the image and hide the drives AND use the shortcut on the desktop to exacut the game .... BOTH IMAGE TOOLS WORK WITH THIS GAME AND THE BEST DRIVE HIDE TOOL IS VIRTUAL-CD-HIDE. I hope this has helped some ppl i have used the metherd on 3 different pc now and it works fine  |
and now ur thread polluting...dude, seriously, ur method has far to many steps when all u need to do is
1) Install with Daemon - no emu options selected
2) Run SR7_Stop, click hide to activate then close the program using the x (it works for me while leaving the program open tho
3)Play the game
or
1)same as above
2) Securom manual work around

To my colleague Damage1757 to you too have windows 2000? SP 4? Has anyone running windows 2000 got this to work?

Well, im pretty sure it will work if u do it EXACTLY the way it says...I have yet to have it fail...if sr7 stop doesnt work, this is the manual version of it...it does the same thing |

I did this, and I tried it with Deamon tools. When I do not hide anything, there is an error message that there is emulation detected ( ofcourse ). When I hide my drives, whetever that program may be, it says: Original disc can not be found or authenticated.
Believe me, I tried all. I just get that message.
edit: I now know that it is my computer that is fucked up. I played Total Overdose before, and that worked. Now it doesn't. I also tried playing Serious Sam 2. that doesn't work to.
I stopped all the processes, unstalling anti-blax etc. doesn't work. hmmm.

i've tried everything now thats been posted on the threads i've had every error message you can imagine
canot authenticate blah blah blah
please insert original dvd/cd to continue blah blah blah blah
please insert disc into drive F:/G:/H:/I:/J (belive me i've tried mounting it on alot of drives using every method.................
any 1 still havein this sort of trouble?
how can 1 game be so much damm trouble

For the Fear game
I have seen in it that there is CMS protection file so its Securom
and also VOB file so its protected CD/DVD
Its in the Fear.exe file and also in FearA.Arch00 and FearL.Arch00
Someone maybe can help out about this to crack it

you're not the only one, believe me. Possibly you don't do anything wrong beause I know that I am doing it right ( it isn't so hard )
Hopefully there's gonna be a no cd crack, just like for Serious Sam 2
