I get 2 errors when i try to install FEAR.
The first:
>SetupDLL\SetupDLL.cpp(390)
PAPP:FEAR
PVENDOR:Monolith Productions (##ID_STRING7)
PGUID:2B653229-9584-4989-B780-D978F513EAB
$11.0.0.28844
@Windows XP service Pack 2 (2600) BT_OTHER 232.64

The second:
InstallShield Wizard

Please do the following:
- Close any running programs
- Empty your temporary folder
- Check your Internet connection (Internet-based Setups)

Then try to run the Setup again.

Error code: -5001


It takes fucking long time before i get these errors. The installShild Wizard starts but nothin more.. I need help!

Check your disk space..

I 'm having a similar problem. I've dl the Alcohol version and the FLT version. When I try to install by mounting the image in Daemon Tools I get the follwoing error message

Error Code: -5009 : 0x8002802b
Error Information:

This happens on both versions. Iget the same error message when I use Alcohol on the Alcohol version.

The bonus material from the start up menu works fine on both versions.

Any help appreciated

Answering my own question.

I had to delete the Installshield directory in Program Files/Common Files. Worked fine from there (albeit at 800 x 60 with everything at medium).

They're going into meltdown about the game at the Tech forum above. I think I'll come back to this one in a few months when it's patched up and I can afford a fast enough card to run it Laughing
