Flickin through gamespot release dates just now i got to Brothers in arms and noticed that it was for the PS2. i flicked ahead a week to see if we'd get it then but nope. went back and got http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/action/brothersinarms/index.html
now please tell me that this wont be console only. this is one of a few games im REALLY looking forwards
:edit: i carried on looking and to my relief its http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/brothersinarms/index.html under a different name and yes a few weeks later. ima still leave this up because u can talk about this amazing game instead of making a million other threads .

Could be a nice game, I am just getting a little bit tired of the WW II genre. Still have hopes for this one though.

Yes, game looks definatly good. It has some nice tactical combat, where you can command a unit and it sounds sweet. I have watched some trailers, and it looks really good.

The halo engine runs like crap on the PC. At least the port, so nothing I'm looking forward too.

i like how this game is turning out. the latest trailer really got me interested. i actually got Very bored of CoD after about the 3rd or 4th map. it was like a rehash of every other ww2 shooter, shoot, throw a grenade, grab a bazooka to blow a tank, rinse, repeat.
However the squad commands in this one look to make it very much different, besides of course the very impressive unreal 2 graphics. every other shooter that advertises team interaction usually lets down on that account, missing even the most basic commands that would make a team successful in real combat. anyways hopefully they pull through with this one and the AI or something else doesnt kill it.

Demo plans:
The demo will likely be two chapters with some information about other features and content that are available in the full game to go with it.
The first chapter will be a cut down version of the chapter we call "Rendevouz with Destiny" - it includes Baker's jump into Normandy, some link ups with notable characters and an introduction to control and combat. The demo version of this chapter is about half the size as the chapter in the full game.
The second chapter in the demo is from about half-way through the game. It is called "The Fall of St. Come". In this chapter, Baker, five of his squad plus the Plt. Sgt (Mac Hassey) and the radio opr (Pvt. Leggett - the guy with the glasses). You'll have a chance to understand some of the interesting characters and you'll get to do some great squad combat using fire and move tactics against combined arms (including infantry, mortars and other things we'd rather you discovered by playing).

it may be like FSW but this def. looks like it has better controls and more in depth. -2vs2 seems a bit shabby but o well.

a few questions i wanna know is if say 1 of your squad members dies is that mission over or do you go through the game with 1 less man and the storyline changes slightly? on a few vids it looks like cut scenes where ur man is snipered down.

it is base to true story so i bet those team members dies only in acurate places where they really died in IRL
