|
 |
Overview:
In this game, players take on the role of the rebel himself - Stubbs, a wisecracking Zombie who takes on an ultra-modern city of the future using nothing but his own carcass and the weapons of his possessed enemies. Developed by former members of Bungie Studios members and utilizing the Halo 2 engine, Stubbs the Zombie delivers a stirring tale of one man's hunger for love, justice...and brains.
Features:
* Zombie strength lets you smash down walls and maul anyone who gets in your way
* Convert Stubbs' enemies into allies, by eating their brains and making them zombies
* Explore & take over Punchbowl, an immersive and futuristic city built with the Halo engine
* Use your body as a weapon - Exploding gut grenades, toxic zombie spew, severed hands that can crawl through tight spots & possess the living and unholy flatulance are available to you
* Possess unsuspecting humans and use them as weapons

I've been looking forward to this one as well, I like the sound of the co-op play.
Quote: | Now with the co-op play, two Zombies can make their way through the city simultaneously, seeking revenge and eating brains. Playing along side Stubbs is Grubbs, a fellow traveling salesman who, through a series of unfortunate coincidences, ended up in the same unmarked grave as Stubbs with a similar suit and fatal stomach injury. (Life sure is funny that way.) In split-screen co-op gut-throwing play, two zombies have each other’s back as they make their way through Punchbowl’s angry denizens – militia men, riot cops and much, much more.
The general game mechanics in co-op mode are the same, but double the fun. Players will have many weapons at the tips of their rotting fingers as they double their zombie hordes through:
* Conversion - Death is not the end! When Stubbs or Grubbs kills an enemy, they become one of his zombie minions. These zombies will attack humans when possible and attempt to follow Stubbs and Grubbs in their crusade. Building and maintaining a horde of zombies is crucial to beating the game’s biggest encounters.
* The Hand – Stubbs and Grubbs can detach their arms, throw them and control the arm as a separate character. The arm is faster than humans, can go places where Stubbs nor Grubbs can fit, is expendable (so it can be sent into certain death), and can possess human characters.
* Possession - Using detached arms, Stubbs and Grubbs can possess human characters, giving them access to their weapons, speed, and other abilities.
* Gut Grenade - Stubbs and Grubbs can throw gut grenades, a ranged area-of-effect weapon. They can reach into their guts, pull out some viscera and lob it like a grenade to cause damage and stun opponents.
* Unholy Flatulence – Stubbs and Grubbs can unleash unholy flatulence, a local, last ditch area-of-effect attack, which will kill humans in the immediate vicinity.
* Zombie Strength - Stubbs and Grubbs super-strength allows them to smash through boarded-up doors and lay waste to the humans cowering behind it with powerful melee attacks.
* Bowling Heads -- Strike! Stubbs and Grubbs can bowl their head into enemies and strategically detonate them. After the head explodes, it turns anyone in the vicinity into zombies. |

uh...wrong?
its made using the halo2 engine with custom graphics filters to give it a retro look. devs from bungie actually got bored with making the same old crappy halo game and broke off with the company to make this game. so far the game has received a 9.0 from 1up.com, no other reviews. looking foward to playing such a unique game, itll be a nice change from the usual cookie cutter games.

omg what a booooring game.
there is definetely close ties between this and destroy all humans.
settings is pretty much the same, with that 50´s feel to it, you are fighting humans, its boring and repetetive.
my daughter stepped on the power cord and when i had to restart i just didnt feel like playing it again. thats how boring it was. that was at the cop station btw, so it wasnt like i just played it for 10 minutes.
im going to give it one more go later on, but i dont have high hopes. like almost every other game that has been released recently it was a dissapointment.

The Version won`t work for me on HD, i`ve tested all modes:
NTSC
PAL
TSR: NORMAL,DISABLED & DEBUG
Does it work for anybody on HD?
(Ive also tested to run it from EVOX, XBMX & UNLEASHX)
Do you think it will work when i exchange the default.xbe with that one from the repack?

damn thats too bad. ill give it a try later still but was worried about how it seems theres not much info about the story/goals. i was hoping this might be a sleeper hit out of the blue as is the case when there are so many bigname mediocre games coming out. did you try any co-op? have you got to try any vehicles yet?
