First you will have to use the MPH downgrader to alter your firmware to 1.50 so you can use homebrew applications unless of course you have 1.50 or lower firmware installed on your PSP.
Then you need a UMD emulator, an original UMD game and a memory stick with enough free space to transfer the ISO for the game you want to play. I have never heard of a UMD writer. Sounds cool tho!

! Of coure they exist, in a manufacturing way, otherwise we couldn't have UMD's. They don't exist as a consumer product, and never will. It was confirmed by sony as soon as the PSP hit US soil.
