ANyone know the reason for the GTA LCS delay??? Has it been announced anywhere??? Just I dont know wether to Import it knowing that it will require 2.00 Firmware or wait untill Nov 4th and risk it requiring 2.01 or 2.5 firmware and having to get a refund and import it making me wait even longer sad.gif

another thing is, coudl they maybe have found a fault in the US Version and decided to fix it or even improve the game before releasing it to Europe??


I realy want it and cant be arsed waiting but dont know what to do Sad, import the US Version or just wait for the UK version with the risk of it needing 2.01 or 2.5 firmware Sad

I highly doubt its gonna be changed maybe its just the distribution which has been delayed?

it was probably delayed because the EU version didn't have the anal clenching security that the US version had. so yup, you have to wait longer, so its harder to pirate. sux, dont it.

Please tell me this isnt True!!!!!! I just phoned 3 GAME shops today in the UK and they all said the UK release date has been pushed back untill the 11th of Nov !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cool... the iso should be cracked and running on 1.5 before then, lol... isn't that messed up, when pirates potentially will have it before sony even ALLOWS you to legitimately purchase it? and they wonder why people download... noone likes being shafted sony, wake up.

nah, dont think that will happen... GTA Requires stuff that was added to V2.00 to run making it VERY hard to get running on a 1.5...

11th? Fuck that. I've just bought a US copy from Ebay for £34 including delivery - a guy in the UK has a batch of them so I'll have it on tuesday.

Sony/every other game company/every other publisher really knows how to fuck europeans off. They clearly don't want to sell their european stuff and just want everyone to either buy import or warez it up.

Fuck them. I'll buy the games I play but if they force me to go import then import it is.

Yeah that's the one Smile I saw two guys that had large batches of them - one was selling them for £33.99 plus £1.99 shipping and the other was £33.99 with free shipping.

Nice one Sony/Rockstar/Take Two/whoever is to blame for delaying it - they've just lost themselves some money by almost forcing people to take the import route Smile

actually they haven't lost money if your still buying it.

i, for one, have decided NOT to pay for it. ill either play the iso, or i wont play the game at all. i refuse to get shafted by those b@stards...and yes, i was originally intending to actually buy this game. but i wont now.

Depends how you look at it. Sure they're still getting money but since everything is more expensive in Europe, they'll be getting less out of it. I know most of the reason for the extra cost is shipping, vat and so on but still. They clearly don't give a shit about Europe anyway.

Granted Europe is more hassle for Sony since there's many different languages to have the packaging and instructions in but delaying it 3 weeks because of that? Seems a bit much.

I could be wrong but I still personally think it's being delayed on purpose. I'd just love to know why.

i got told today by my local indie gamestore that its been put back bcoz of the shortage of psp's in the uk. they(both sony and r*) fink that the game will boost sales of the psp meaning the game will sell more too, so there putting it back untill there are more psp in the uk. thats what i got told anyways.

Very good reasoning, I would say this is the most likely situation, however unfactual it is. Its not likely that they will have delayed to add 2.5 requirements as they have no doubt already finished production of the UMD's, thats the wonder of having no region codes, you can press them all at the sametime if you want Wink!

Who knows though, I guess we will see on release date Smile

which makes me even HAPPIER again that sony doesn't get my money. they are more concerned about money than gamers, which would be fine to SOME extent, but this is friggin rediculous. ill either get the iso going, or simply never play this game (yes i know, i know, i keep saying it... but thats how i feel. i WONT be f**ked over by sony for any game, no matter how good it might be...)

??? You need to remember, If their was No Sony you wouldnt have a PSP and GTA might not have been here... So realy you like Sony...

Also, did you say you were going to Download it or not play it at all because it was delayed a week? thats a stupid reason as you could have easilly imported it Razz
