If there was one thing you could learn instantly, what would it be? I'm talking about something your could realistically learn if you had the time. I've just been thinking about how many things I would like to learn that I know I won't have time for in my life.

I think mine would be one of the martial arts. I'm not sure which one but I would learn it perfectly, with every nuance, every possible technique. I've always wanted to learn but theres no way i'll have the time.

Either that or survival techniques. Very Happy

Whats yours!?

Learn instantly...hmm...I'd say a bunch of different languages.

Animal, guy, ur 19 or 20 right? U could take up hapido or another combat art and excell at it no problem. I used to train with 40 year olds...martial arts is for everyone...well, not everyone, those who are serious about it.

Yeah but it takes alot of dedication. Plus, I thought you had to start young if you wanted to be really good, right?

yea you normally start pretty early, a friend of mine started taekwondo when he was 4 years old and got his black belt at 13-14. that still doesnt help him in real fights though.
i did it for a while till i got the green belt and then just got bored of it.
i just never got the feeling that i could actually use anything i learned there for real self defense, sure they have the stances, moves and everything, but they dont train your strenght and speed, and without these you cant do shit, no matter how good your technique is.
imo if you wanna learn something for self defense, then rather do boxing or kickboxing, here you really learn how to hit a person properly, how to evade and train your strenght, stamina and speed.

I'd learn howto learn things instantly.

Then go to NFOrce Forums to pick up some ideas what to do with my no ability, by starting a thread in which i'd ask what someone would do if they could learn something instantly.

Then i would be told by some guy my story until now.
My head would explode because of a temporal paradoxon.

Actually Im you from the past, but my future self invented a time travel machine which he (that means you, AM) gave to me by travelling back in time.

Still a question remains ...
when i met myself why did you give it to me ? We never had the time to talk about it Wink

Well another question comes to my mind, what would you ask your future self...
I think that question could be quite interesting ... it even depends on which future self (10 years older, 20 years older ...)
but im too newb to start a thread myself without asking for torrents or links myself Very Happy

Back on topic:
there were some very good examples ... But if you could learn anything instantly. I think i'd choose everything.
I believe you can never know enough, so why swim with the small fish Wink

Naw, not really. Some ppl are naturals. Of course your not gunna start out a champion, but fuck, it takes time and practice, thats all...and it depends what u wanna train for. Real, street fighting or tournament fighting. Real fighting takes alot longer to get good at as u have to have enough real fights to get the experience where as tournament fighting is simple as pie man.
