Hi , iam quite new to encoding so please forgive me if i ask any of the obvious.
What im trying to do is encode MPEG-2 to XVID via scene standards 2 pass ? would anyone know what tools they use and or any pointers to any tutorials ? many many many thanks for the kind assistance.

check the xvid/(auto)Gordian Knot part of that tutorial. Wink

takes me about 4hr.. anyways, mess with your video overlay settings. (right click on desktop/properties/settings tab/advanced) should be a tab in there where you can modify your video card settings.. make sure you have your vid running and then start fucking with the settings.

Hi, i seem to have run into small problem.when i set the quality to 100 percent in auto gk my size file for a 30 min programme is about 700mb ish and 1hr programme over 1gig but surely its need sto be smaller to fit scene standards ?many thanks for youre help.
