  • Publisher: Lucasarts
  • Genre: Shooter - Action
  • Release date: 30-10-2005
  • Story/Description:
    Quote:

Star Wars Battlefront II improves upon the blockbuster multiplayer original with new space combat, playable Jedi, and never-before-seen environments straight out of final Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith film. The game features an all-new single-player experience that takes players through an epic, story-based saga where every action the player takes impacts the battlefront and, ultimately, the fate of the Star Wars galaxy. The sequel features improved flight control, complex space combat that allows players to board enemy capital ships and battle to take over flying command posts or sabotage the ship to be used against the other faction, increased total online player numbers, and memorable multiplayer encounters in 12 new locations.

    ---

Star Wars Battlefront II takes the best-selling Star Wars video game of all time one Imperial-walker step forward with all-new space combat, playable Jedi, and never-before-seen environments straight out of the Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith film. Fans of the original Star Wars Battlefront will also enjoy an all-new single-player experience that takes players through an epic, story-based saga where every action the player takes impacts the battlefront and, ultimately, the fate of the Star Wars galaxy.

Star Wars Battlefront II improves upon the original game's single-player experience with open-ended, mission-based objectives inspired from all six Star Wars films. The compelling storyline spans more than 12 new locations, many from Episode III, including volcanic Mustafar and the space battle above Coruscant. All-new classic movie moments complete the Star Wars Battlefront II experience, as players battle within the interior of the Death Star and visit Princess Leia's blockade runner, the Tantive IV, as seen at the beginning of Episode IV A New Hope. In addition, at certain key moments within the battles, players can feel the Force as a Jedi.

For the first time ever, Star Wars Battlefront II players can engage in space combat and, during the same battle, board enemy ships to attack from within. Starting on foot inside a capital ship, players can enter the spacecraft of their choice and travel into space to dogfight with the rival faction. From there, they can dock within the enemy's capital ship, overtake the ship's command posts, man its turrets to disable its shields and destroy it from within! Or, they can simply stay inside their own capital ship and defend it from attacks and enemy fire. The choice is theirs.

Well this isint the game i was thinking of. This is that shitty battlefield 2 take off where you run aimlessly around shooting at respawn after respawn, yawwwn. I hear it has a single player side though, hmmm wonder what thats like?

By the way the game i was thinking of was, uhhh, whats the dam name of it..... it was like squad based where you had like 3 other guys besides you and they had colors like red green blue, and you could have them snipe or throw grenades, or assign them to a turrent and blow doors? It was the last starwars game that came out i think? Anyone? Confused

Well I've been playing the Xbox version for a few days now, it is a lot of fun.

The single player is basically a bot match with objectives thrown in, like defend this area for certain time, retrieve an object, repair a vehicle, take over this place, go destroy that object, etc.

This game is multiplayer based just like Battlefield games but in Star Wars skin with huge vehicles and space combats. It supports up to 64 players online I think. There are no dedicated servers yet so I couldn't try it normaly, played on some laggy gay ass server for 10 mins, was fun. If you like BF or Star Wars or both this game is for you.

"Revamped single-player experience includes smarter AI enemies and allies, plus a greater emphasis on story told through open-ended mission-based objectives"

It's not mulitplayer based, There's a singleplayer campaign.
