"A required security module can not be activated. This program can not be executed."
the nfo says:
"Use Virtual CD Hide (set your exe to win2k compatibility mode)
or some other securom hider."
i have Virtual CD Hide on, set my bf2.exe to win2k compat mode and still get the error.

The game need to be mount in Dtools and you need to set win 2000 on the shortcut that the game put on your desktop and not the actual exe
On some machine, virtual-cd-hide doesnt work well so try it with SR7.Stopv1.0.exe

when you change the compatability properties on a shortcut that modification is also applied to the host exe. i have reinstalled twice now, the first time mounted with D-Tools.
tried Virtual CD Hide + D-Tools = no workie.
uninstalled, installed via mounted through Alcohol120 + Virtual CD Hide = no workie.
before i uninstalled again, i downloaded and ran SR7.Stop which hid my drives again but i get the same error. guess i will try to reinstall using a mounted img on D-Tools. do i need to hide the drives before i mount it?

Hi
Can somebody help me? I can't run this one. I tried it with daemon and Anti-Blaxx, but when I install this game it deletes something from the registry and I can't use daemon anymore, and after that SR7.Stop says that Nothing to hide! (I have alcohol installed too.) I can't run virtual-cd-hide.exe by the way.
Please help!

I did not need to change to Win2k compat mode. Alls I did was ran SR7.Stop_1.0, Hid my Virt. Drive from Alcohol, mounted and installed game, then played. No problems.. I dont have Daemon tools installed, and my OS is XP.
Why is it saying to set to Win2k compat. mode? Is that just if you decide to use Virtual CD-Hide??

I've solved my problem already. You can run virtual CD hide before the install. I ran it with SR7.Stop because I got my daemon crapped up 2 times and I can't install it with the same settings, even after deleting it's things from the registry. Now the game works fine I just had to close virtual cd hide, SR7.Stop and Daemon to run it.

I don't get it. First i did what was in the nfo file and it did not work. Then I uninstalled, started sr7stop, installed the game and I could start it and play for about 30 minutes. Then the game crashed and I had to restart windows. Next time I started the game it didn't work anymore. (I started sr7stop before starting the game) I'm using alcohol.

I tried everything posted on this thread but could not get BattleFront 2 to work. Then I read in an alternate forum that sometimes you need to delete your virtual drive programs (Daemon Tools, Alcohol) and reboot your computer, to clear out all the files and the registry entries for the programs.
I reinstalled Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%, used VirtualCDHide to hide my drives, closed both Daemon Tools and VCDHide. Now the game runs beautifully, whether the image is mounted on Daemon or Alcohol.
For those still struggling with gettin the game to run: try uninstalling and reinstalling your virtual drive programs before using VCDHide (haven't tested it with SR7 Stop yet).

Well, I'm done with this for a while. I've tried every combination of sr7.stop/virtual cd hide and A120%/DT with no success. I've reinstalled both emulators with different driver names, tried 2k compatability on .exe. Either I get the security module error or "please use original disc" error. Anything I've missed? If not, I'll wait unil a crack is released.

I ran SR7STOP, mounted in Alcohol 120%, installed the game from there, and played. Works fine for me, no switching to 2000 compatability or anything.

I have the exact same problem, the game starts and all and then i click new game, a loading screen comes up and BANG! straight to desktop, no error messages at all.
Have you found a solutions for this?
Im using Alcohol 120%, tried both SR7STOP and VCDHide, game boots up but crashes to desktop...

I seem to have a similar problem as acth. Tried alc/DT with and without securom emu on, vcdhide and sr7stop, w2k comp mode on the exe and shortcut all nogo. the only difference to you all is, when i leave vcdhide in the systray i get the "required security module could not be activated" but when i close vcdhide after i hide the drives i get "conflict with emulation software detected" instead of "please insert original disc", i've never seen that last message myself. I'm out of ideas for now on this.

You have to unistall the game, mount in in DT with no emulation options and install. Then sr7stop should work.

I've now tried every single imaginable combination of alcohol/daemon, SR7.Stop, VirtualCDHide, various types of installations and the compatibility checks... nothing works. I've gone through every thread about it here and tried each suggestion mentioned and just can't seem to get it to work....
any ideas or should i just quit on this one.

Are you mounting the BFII.mds? Mount it with Daemon / run SR7.Stop and load. I did not need to set Windows 2000 Compatibility or even close SR7.Stop when launching.

yes im mounting the mds file. In my last attempt, I mounted with Daemon, ran SR7, installed, then attempted to run the game immediately after install. *failed* Turned on win2k compat. *failed again* Turned off SR7 and tried Virtual... *failed* I'm out of ideas.
