SHATTERED UNION-MiRROR
[list]
[*]Official web page: LINK
[*]Publisher: 2kgames
[*]Screens: herrrree
Story:
Following a great increase in terrorism, internal strife, and ultimately, the nuclear destruction of Washington, D.C., the United States shatters into a half-dozen nation-states that descend into war. Take the helm of one of these newfound sovereignties (or the "peacekeeping" European Expeditionary Force) and struggle to reunify America?by any means necessary!
Features:
Modern 3D tactical war game viewed from a "bird's-eye" overhead camera.
Non-linear mission progression with changes based on player-made decisions.
Real-time resolution of turned-based moves. Take your time while you decide your move, but once you have selected your action, see the results all play out in full animation models, exploding vehicles, and burning cities and forests!
Fully destructible terrain/environment. As the battle proceeds, everything from explosions and destroyed buildings permanently mark the terrain. Moving tanks will leave tread marks that stay for the duration of the mission. At the end, very little will look the same.
Fight your way across the United States! Had enough of the windy city? Then go ahead and bomb Chicago! Invade across the Rockies into California, capture the tank factories in Ohio, and lay siege to New York City! You decide - the fate of the nation is in your hands!
Choose to play as one of seven different factions: California Commonwealth, Pacifica, Republic of Texas, Great Plains Federation, The Confederacy, New England Alliance and the European Union.
Call up National Guard forces equipped with M1 Abrams battle tanks, Apache helicopters and stealth bombers. Or make a deal with the Russians and equip your boys with MiG fighters and T-95 Heavy Tanks.
Online and offline multiplayer on all platforms.
Will try it after I finish Q4

NOOOOOOOOOOO..not one more, I am just not able to keep up, still trying to finsh AOE3 and CNP2 and now Blitzkrieg2 and this one. I have to start losing sleep sooon or Civ4 will soon be here before I get to play these. BTW this game is from PopTop guys who made the awesome tropico and Railroad Tycoon 3, so this game hopefully will be just as good.

You guys are seriously not giving a TBS game a shot because its unit sizes are overexaggerated some? I guess you all think the Civilization series is horrible too since those warriors are as big as your cities. Each man isn't just a man from the looks of it, but it represents a division/brigade/whatever, not just one helicopter or tank. If I had to guess i'd say its abstracted for easier control and fighting.
Anyway...i'm going to give this a shot, the concept is good and the game looks nice enough.

Interested in this, it's nice to see an attempt at modelling a real country. Of course things aren't too scale and the units do look strange. They're supposed to represent a squadron/battalion/etc (I presume!) rather than a single unit but it does look strange.

It's supposed to look like one of the old hex-map board games, only with a lot better graphics than most computer versions of those games. Seems pretty fun so far, if that's your kind of thing.

So did anyone get this to work? I presume so as it hasn't been nuked, but despite following every step of the nfo, I still get the Securom message about a required security module, game can not be executed.....

Yea, it worked fine mounted. I didn't even try to burn it, and I highly doubt that a successful burn is as simple a task as they make it sound in the nfo. If SR7.Stop isn't working for you, try virtualcdhide instead... or anti-blaxx if you're desperate.

Worryingly, I have all three running....
What did you moutn with? Daemon or Alcohol? I used Daemon, along with all three programs and I still get that message. I'll try with alcohol later - will I need to reinstall though? It seems to have installed fine, it's just running the .exe that's the problem
