Hey... I've downloaded a copy of Cubase SX 3 and got it to install just fine. I also found a dongle.dll release by H20 but I have not the slightest clue about how to go about getting it installed and running. I thought I would possibly have to do a manual over write on certain files with a program such as SoftICE but I didn't want to trouble myself with any unnecessary work. If you have any helpful instructions or know where some might be found let me know.

Thanks alot,

Nevermind, I've solved the problem myself and got everything up and running just fine after incredible amounts of trouble. Turns out that dongle.dll stuff is just a big steamy pile of rhino dung! Embarassed

Insane props to the H20 team

Sorry to make you read my nonsense,

One thing thats really pissing me off is that I can't use my taskbar since I installed the DVDR of SX3. Anyone else having this? CTL+ALT+DEL and ending the process "cledx" makes no difference.. Im having to ALT Tab everywhere Sad

Ok, So I unistalled the DVDR and installed the H2o rip, Taskbar works fine after installation, but as soon as it tells you to reboot it dont work!

Great job Delirium/H2O on cracking this.. would be nice to see a fix for the taskbar issue please Smile

Might be better off using my Retail verson.

d0p35m0k3r check your running processes to see if the emu is running, if not cubase sometimes loads ok, but will crash on ya... If its not running, the emu is in the start menu under "SyncroSoft Emu".. are you having Taskbar issues also?

I saw the shortcut to the emulator in the start>programs menu and clicked it being the nosey boy that I am and it said it was already running. I haven't been having any problems with my task bar tho. I haven't gotten to test the software fully either cuz I don't have my sound card handy at the moment, but I guess I'll figure all these things out in due time... My biggest worry is that after all of the trouble I went thru getting this damned software to run I'll later realize that Cubase blows sphincter... But like I said, I've yet to find out Very Happy

Okay, well everything was running fine until I installed Nod32, now whenever the emulator tries to load up I get an error titled "SRV #001" and it says "CLED Error" I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and I've tried loaded it up with Nod32 closed out... I have no idea... Maybe Cubase and I just aren't meant to be Sad Any suggestions??

Cubase 3 works good. You guys simply must uninstall any earlier versions of Synchrosoft emulators before installation of this latest version. H2O did a great job!

Searching in Bittorrent sites, i found that there are two versions of Cubase 3. One that is called "Steinberg.Cubase.SX.v3.0.DVDR-DELiRiUM" which is 1.29 Gb and the other called "Steinberg Cubase SX 3.0 DVDRip" which is 2.04Gb. Anybody knows what is the difference between them?

PostPosted: Sun, 2nd Oct 2005 22:53    Post subject: Cubase SX 3 Licence Control Center Question
I've installed H2O's version of SX 3 before and it ran beautifully for about a month or so, at which point it started crashing. I've reinstalled numerous times, and removed the SynchroSoft programs as well. When I reinstall, I notice that the SynchroSoft Emu seems to be running fine, but if I try to access the License Control Center, the program just crashes. Cubase crashes as well as it's loading up.

I hear mixed opinions on whether or not this is a working version of SX 3. Anyone have any idea why it would work for a while then crap out? Is there something in the registry preventing me from reinstalling, and does it have something to do with the LCC?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all. I had Cubase SX3.0.2 and recently I tried to install the new 3.1.1. I uninstalled the previous version, the syncrosoft shit, i removed everything from the registry but the problem remains: once I run the 3.1.1 install, it starts to install the syncrosoft license then the H20 emu. It says that after I click next, the "Found New Hardware Wizard" should appear but the problem is that it does not. after that, the cledx.exe process runs in background but no tooltip icon appears. also, when the installation continues to the Cubase install it says "Cled Error - an instance is already running"; it continues to install but when I run cubase, wether the cledx.exe is running or not and how many times I reboot the computer, Cubase doesn't run and the Emu dongle never appears. I tried to run it from the Start menu - Programs - Synchrosoft Emu but it's just the same, the process runs but it doesn't appear on the taskbar. Can anyone explain me how can I "REALLY REMOVE" any information about the emu from the system so that when I install it may find a new hardware!? (i want my cubase back...sniff Crying or Very sad )

sorry about my bad english.

cheers!
