It was the same with 8 mile, and afterall, it wasn't that bad.

LOL. Didn't even do that great this weekend. $12.5 million. $18.2 million total. Probably end up with less than $50 million. Or even less. Maybe less than $40 million. I'm surprised Derailed did better than it. I thought that was gonna bomb but it actually did decent. Also surprised that Jarhead dropped more than 50%. I thought it was pretty good and I thought it was getting good word of mouth.
Anyway back to Get Rich. I work at a movie theatre and we had 4 screens of it. I think none of them ever reached half full. Today most of the showings were in small theatres.

I ok with rap/hip-hop I listen to some. 50 cent on the other hand is a pile of shit. I cant stand that guy he really should be shot, and Eminem's little gay boy ass should go with him. 50 cent being in this movie is a good enough reason alone for me to never ever ever see this movie.

Can't a black rapper make a bad movie? I'm sure it sucks for hundreds of reasons beside 50 beeing black and "rapping"..
saw the trailer for the game and an interview with him. there is something wrong with this guy

maybe 50 cents should do a song about white trash rednecks. guess he'll do that if enough bad reviews come in.....
but yeah i'm not to interested in seeing a semi autobiograpgical story about a rapper whose music/aesthetics i don't like and and whatever persona he pushes in interviews...well i don't like that either.....
if makes you feel better i haven't watched 8 mile either.
i guess i'm not too interested in' keeping it rea'l. i've always loved the 'fake' side of the fence.
50 doing a song about reneck trash/would just equal another top 10 hit for him.so i'm sure he'll be on it.....
how many more rapper semi auto movies are we going to get ?????
also do the people that say 50's movie sucks/fans of his or not ?????
and really i'm to wimpy to 'represent'. so i doubt 50 wants me in his fan base...

Thats such a lame excuse....believe it or not, its not about how many ppl youve shot, how much drugs u chopped etc etc...street cred is so beyond that, even amoungst the gang bangers...I guess its something u have to experience 
However, I havent seen this movie, want to tho...eventually will go see it. Not a big fan of 50's more commercialized endevours (sp?). Safe to say, he's gone hollywood.
But the story of his life, is interesting - because he's alive to tell it |
