I've never watched this I have a few UFC dvd's lying around the house which I got along time ago, I guess I just got bored with it.
From the synopsis it sounds a little like "The Contender" which was/is a brilliant show. If its anything like that I'll maybe check it out.

I dunno...i just dont like the rules of the "new" ufc...no joint locks, pressure points, breaking limbs, no elbows on the back of the head, noeye gouging, groin shots....i remember the days when EVERYTHING was legal and u'd see a guy get his face kicked in and his legs busted...that was really combat...
I once saw this little Jap dude get his rib caged kicked in and his nose shattered, in the like 3 moves...that is fighting imo. Quick matches still, but awesome.

Yeah I haven't watched any UFC since like number 4 or 5 i think when the only rules were (if i remember correctly) no eye gouging/raking and kicks/punches to the nuts but pretty much everything else was allowed.I'm not a fan of any "reality" series and I definitely wouldn't watch this one either.

Joint locks are very legal.
You miss when Frank Mir broke Tim Sylvia's arm?
I don't mind no eye-gouging or groin shots, that's bitch fighting anyways IMO.

yeah...i think im wrong, i dont think that shit has ever been legal...but i know groin shots were, which I think is totally fine. In the league that i competed in and won, we had groin shots...trick was not to catch one, makes u a better fighter cuz u not only have to guard ur face/head but ur nuts aswell.
Joint locks, like hapkido holds? Naw dude..they arent legal anymore...Im not talking submission locks and or grappling/ground fighting, im talkin trap locks and shit that is used to specifically break an arm/leg....like say someone throws a punch, BOOM!, drop em into an a-frame and break his fuckin forearm...back in the early days shamrock used to do shit like that, he was more a leg man tho, damn ground fighters

Damn, that episode was weak.
Seth should have kept it standing, he was fucking up Brad's leg real good.
Too bad...

God damn.
That TUF2 final show was incredible.
I haven't seen a card with such good quality fights in a long time.
If anybody missed it I really suggest if you like MMA even in the slightest to check it out.

Switch to pride fc then, you can soccer kick the guys head, stomp on it... you name it. I prefer pfc over ufc, ufc is to umm.... americanized.

yuh pride is good, i don't like the constant resetting of the fight when the start going out of the ring.
also, I find a lot more pride fights go to the ground and they are allowed to loiter a lot longer on the ground then in the UFC. I don't mind ground action as long as both men stay busy.

Ya resetting them is kinda wierd, i was like wtf when i first saw it. But the yellow card penalty is kinda cool, 10% pay cut if you're inactive.

OMG. You're so full of it. |
Sport Karate International, +18 Open Black belt division...read the SKI rules and stfu
And joint locks/pressure points are not allowed in the UFC anymore (bascially Hapkido in general as thats what it is)...again, read the ufc rules...
