I had the same problem. On the first try with the 1st cd mounted the game starts, but the next time it won't start anyway. But now I found a solution to this problem.
Instructions:
1) After installation of the game with DT (i used version 3.47),
2) leave DT opened and mount all the 4 CD images on 4 different virtual drives in DT.
3) Then start SD4Hider and click on Hide (It doesn't matter in which directory SD4Hider runs)
4) Now you should be able to start the game by doubleclicking the Desktop icon.
Worked 100% for me! Before I only had CD1 mounted and the game only started with each 3rd, 4th or 5th attempt.
BTW if you don't wanna have all 4CD images on your hard drive, just burn an DVD with UDF-ISO-Format and burn them all onto one DVD. But remember you also need SD4Hider which you can also burn on that DVD, but you'll have to place the SD4Hider.exe to a hard drive or it won't be able to write the restore data, which is needed to unhide the virtual drives again.
