For sure... can't wait to get it... looks rather small in size... and has a pad... so should fit nicely with NFSUGR as well Smile

Tanks!

Alright sweet... Close is good...
I got the XBOX version... haven't played yet >_< gave to my brother... so he test drove it for me...

NFSUGR was addictive for me... I didn't beat it though... 75%... still gotta clear all the car specific races...

Glad to hear this is even better... I liked Hot Pursuit so... seems something like that... SWEET!

Well, the NFO says there is a PAD... so... depending on the size of that... can easily rip yourself...

If anything like the last game.... pad brought it down to about 250

Use YA_UMD_iSO_Shrinker_v0.3b to load the ISO. Go to the 2nd tab (file editor) of it:

Doubleclick @ PSPGAME
Doubleclick SYSDIR
Rightclick UPDATE dir, choose delete
Doubleclick USRDIR
Scroll down and look for pad0.pad and pad1.pad Delete those 2 too.
Select destination dir and hit shrink!

Results: a nice looking 182 MB game

yeah its not surprising the nfs games are so small, because they are really underfeatured... hope this game doesn't suck as much as rivals... after the initial 'gee, wow', i realised exactly how shallow it was, and it got boring really fast.

well, just finished downloading, im off to give it a shot - thanx sony for giving us a few games that still work Very Happy

As most of you already know , This works with FL 8C

Little Review :

GFX :

The GFX look alot like burnout , Thats a good thing i guess..

Gameplay :

The gameplay is OK..
There is a Quick play mode and a Career mode.
Loading times are good , Even with 222mhz.

Quick play modes include -
*Instant Race
*Custom Race
*Outrun - Police Try to catch you
*Tuner Taketown - You are police trying to take down bad guys.

Bad point - The handling on cars is quite bad...

Multiplayer has both Ad-Hoc / Infrastructure modes , I can't comment on anything else about that since i don't have a wireless access point.

The safehouse mode lets you buy cars , And modify them..

7/10 for now , Not bad.. but not great..

its actually very similar to rivals, so its a pretty boring game - i spend more time playing lotr:tactics and lumines, lol... but yeah, its not a great game unfortunately, just isn't interesting, im sure many people will get bored of this one quite quickly.

nice intro video though Very Happy

Only difference from Rivals is the very stupid cops and a new sound track Razz! Slightly different gameplay aspects, but overall the same game re-labeled. Still like it though Very Happy!

This might seem like a noob question, but what do .pad files contain? I supose they are there for a reason, but you can stil play the game once they're deleted, i do'nt really get it.

i believe pads are just there to push the used data to a faster section of the umd so that the psp can access the data faster. they are redundant when playing from the memory stick though, so thats why you can safely take them out.

thats what i do - not all isos have them all, but sometimes just rebuilding them without removing anything can make the iso smaller by 30 or more MB, plus remove the update folder as well for an additional 13mb.

N00b question, but how exactly do you get this to work?

I have a 1.5 PSP with umdemu 0.8c and it seems to lock up when selecting the ISO. Same with FL 0.7, it just pulses "initializing" but nothing happens...

Other ISOs work fine. Any specific configuration settings needed for umdemu?

Follow the NFO, if it still doesnt work your ISO is crap, download a new one.

Well, the full iso did the trick. I was trying some shrunk ~190mb version. Why do people bother releasing crap that does not work is beyond me.

because some groups like lightforce are lame. just rip down the iso yourself, as i said, ive got mine down to 171mb, by getting rid of the update folder (not needed) and the other game trailers (also not needed) - music and that cool opening movie are all still intact.
