I think you should just dust it off and play it. After all, it's still "Prince of Persia". I didn't like the dark turn the series took. I liked more the soft, arabesque atmosphere of the first since it reflected more the concept of the original game. But "Warrior Within" is a great game, and you should play it if you intend to play "The Two Thrones", just for the fact that the plot of the two is stricly connected...

Och well, maybe i'll try and give it a go. I just got so tired of doing a fancy wall-run, forward rolling double piking sword swipe only to fall off a cliff. I played the original prince of persia.. now that game was awesome...

Its not my type of game.
I just dont have the patience on some of the puzzels.
Some are easy and straight forward, some are guessy, some are a total pain in the ass.
I might aswell try it tho. I enjoy the combat even tho its repeatitive as hell, but its amasuing for abit.

Yeah, I am looking forward to this game. I had a great time with Sands of Time but the messed up control scheme with controllers was a pain in the ass! I remember seeing that ass in WW and I was like WOW! But I had a great time with WW too. I remember fighting that crow or bird boss. Now that was great graphics. EB says it will be out on 12/6/2005. Let's hope for an early release!

A matter of taste, my friend.
I liked Godsmack in WW, it gave an aggressive tone to the game.
I'm still wondering what's the release date for this one. All sites give different dates.

the soundscore during the Title MENU was great in WW.
Well both POP1 & 2 own their place at high stakes in gaming world for me -- awesome games & amazing fighting concepts.
Infact WW even carries a strong moral value -- U can Change ur FATE--
I loved playing with that Theme.
Me Definitely waiting with Eyes wide open to play this game POP3 as soon as its out. Its the most anticipated in my list till now

i loved both games, and i think i will have no life again when the third is out. WW had that aweful soundtrack, wonderful graphics, cool fighting system and that great story! i even liked that first viedo you saw when playing the first time. it showed babylon and the dahakar, it was a preview to the third game hehe.
really looking forward to this

back in the 90s Prince of Persia was a fantastic game, sadly, it became old and unwanted, and died. Skip forward 10 years and the Princes body has been exhumed, raped, and released as these PoS console games. The memory of the originals tarnished with every sequel.

lol youre talking bull, sands of time is one of the best platform/adventure games out there, youre just bashing it cuz you wanna make an impression of an old school gamer who knows the real thing.
does a game have to be devoid of any good graphics and older than 10 years to be good for you?

Nostalgia is great but dont let that blind you. The current serie is fabulous in my oppion, great gameplay and dont forget there arent that many platforming games out there for the pc, we should be glad games like these are multi platforms.

I think the new PoP complements the old school ones very nicely. I loved the Original PoP, bought it when i came out. The new ones have enhanced the series alot. The Original PoP was revolutionary in its day; amazing gameplay, animations etc. And the new additions to the series to not fall short one bit. Sands of time gave me the same "holly shit" feeling that the originals did.
New...Old, either way PoP is an amazing game to its respective time period.

i never cared for the older ones , my bro used to play it on my dad's comp. i found it utterly tedious. this new remake is one of the best series ive played. in every respect it has evolved into something better and still feels like it has, at its core, remaind true to its original concept.

I've deleted all the technical and "when will it be released?" posts. Discuss the game/gameplay in this thread.

Got a great feeling about this game! Sands of time was great, then WW did minor gameplay updates which made that game awesome aswell, and now Two Thrones updates that gameplay!
This is the way sequals should be, not too different from they're predecessors but not all the same again!

i just hope its more like sands of time, ww was a good game but it was kinda a letdown after sands of time, too dark and moody. i want more exterior levels with nice effects like in sot instead of dark dungeons like in ww.
