PC Gamer review:
58%
"...though an FPS, neuro hunter has a heavy roleplaying bias and wants to be like deus ex, or system shock, or just something fun. Unfortunately, it's replaced tension with longwinded inaction, originality and stale SF cliches and freedom with increasingly tedious chores. It doesn't even make much sense"
"...so you talk to bolt upright people; they give you chores. At first you kill rubbish creatures, find stuff and open crates/doors by "picking" locks - or to put it another way, guessing combinations through trial and error. Later, you do more of this but with computers".
"...eventually neuro hunter spices up by really starting to rip off the Matrix, but the longwinded chores, lack of clear goals, endless scuttling (sideways, absurdly, it's quicker), system-intenstive ugliness and glacial progression sap your will to go on."
