good news indeed.

except hopefully will be lacking in these kinds of memorable hl2 moments:

alyx: ok, follow me ill lead you out gordan
*follow her the five steps into the next room, while keeping eyes directly on her ass*
alyx: wait gordan, i need to type randomly at this console 5 ft away from me while you go shoot up a few(40) bad guys and i shout random things at you which dont help out whatsoever.
alyx: oh, and then i will open the next door for you.
*play for 5 hrs without seeing or hearing from her again*

OMFG!!! SadSadSadSadSad

When playing the Citadel levels..I thought the Stalkers were one of the more scary monsters I've seen in a vdeo game, and I prayed to the high heavens Valve wouldn't make me fight them. Looks like my prayers have been denied Sad I'd take 1000 Ravenholms over stalkers in dark hallways any day of the week.

Just the thought of being cut down to nothing but a survivable number of organs, even losing your limbs in in favor of prosthetics, and being nothing but a mindless drone (but still having some base memroy of who you once were, as I'm sure the stalker's would have) would drive me insane with fear...they are sooo fucking creepy Sad

I´m almost certain that I´m going to buy the expansion because I have HL2 original. And I don´t want to risk getting caught in steam with a pirated copy and lose my original key...

"Half-Life 2: Aftermath is a new episode in the Half-Life story, so it's intentionally shorter than Half-Life 2. We're still finalizing the exact length, as this is the first time we've released a new episode for one of our games."

Great. I guess it will be full price too.

I don't see why you'd think that. Sure it's possible, but I don't think Valve would pull something like that, though VU would Wink (assuming VU is still Valv'se publisher)

EA is not their publisher. valve self-publish the games they develop. EA is merely their distributor, they package and sell games in stores... they can't even put their "EA logo" on the boxes.

I strongly believe its the other way around. Far cry has hdr with 1.3 patch where as hl2 has 0 hdr. I liked hl2 more too, but far cry has the hdr not hl2.

read carefully

"Half-Life 2 for the Xbox® video game system from Microsoft, currently in development at Valve and targeted for release in October, will be published and distributed worldwide by EA."

the key word is XBOX. ea is the publisher for hl2xbox, and distributor only for pc software

I was talking about HL2:Lost Coast. And the hdr shown there is much better than the far cry hdr. And I was hoping that aftermath would include hdr...
