So I got my new computer today, Athlon x2 4600 on ASUS A8V deluxe and when I try to install windows with the bootable CD I get an error : Can't find any HD to install windows on it ...bla bla bla....I tryed all my SATA plug, at some point I saw the HD in the bios but still windows didnt wanted to find it Sad

So i got tired and I used 1 of my old IDE HD and it worked just fine. But I wanna use the SATA for my main HD so does any1 know what is wrong or has an idea? Any help would be appreciate.

This is my 1st computer I build myself and im a noob with hardware and bios.

My english suck sorry, Im a french canadian

You need to insert a diskette with the sata drivers into your drive when cd windows boots and press F6 when appears in the white bar down the screen sayng "Install third party devices" or something like that, because windows doesn´t load sata drivers itself. Those drivers are probably in your motherboard cd.
