Here's the IMDB link - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0326905/

Looks like my kinda movie. Im a sucker for war movies, they just rock...BUT, if its like Pearl Harbour, Im gunna get pissed...Pearl Harbour sucked some serious ass imo. Any movie Ben Affleck is in sucks, seriously...well, except for Good Will Hunting, thats an awesome movie.

Nah, isn't similar at all.

Actually half-decent. I'd give it a 5.5/10.

A bit slow-paced... the best part is the end.

Thank god... Though by the look of the trailer it seems "overpatriotic"?

I don't know if it's very patriotic. It's more descriptive, I'd say. And deals with criticism against the government (among one of them is a criticism against Gen. McArthur for not sending troops to defend the Philippines until years after).

Both the americans and the philippinian soldiers are depicted as "heroes".

Unfortunately the japanese are viewed as heartless, vicious murderers the lot of them. Sort of like the prejudice that all germans were evil Hitler-crazy fanatics Razz

well, seeing what the japanese did in nan jing during ww2, no surprise.
there are alot of ww2 movies where the germans are depicted as humans like everyone else, but i cant really recall any where the japanese were shown in a positive or atleast neutral light except for tora tora.

It's not very good. It's a "slightly above average" move.

And what occured in Nan Jing does not apply to the entire army of Japan, nor it's people.
