well..i decided to give SFN a shot...but i`m afraid using anything before i`l know some stuff...
anyway,i tried using the "disable cd"+"disable node" inorder to run POP:T2T but it did not work...so i`m going to get into little more details:

first of all,i would like to understand whats the "disable ATA"?what`s the ATA and what happens if i disable it?

secondly,i checked in the BIOS and i saw that my DVD R [asus DVD R X16 ] is my primary IDE master
and my CD RW [ASUS CD RW] is my primary IDE slave.

anyway-what happens if i`l disable both pri.master and pri.slave?can it harm anything? i dont know what`s the location of my HDD,so i`m afraid to tuch anything...

and one last thing-what`s the "disable channles"?
i didnt get what it does....

anyway,in the hardware properties it says:
ASUS CRW-location 0
ASUS DVDR-location 1
Westen digital 80GB -bus number 0,target ID 0,LUN 0

what should i disable in SFN?

thanks for any help.

usually the best way to use sfn to get a game going is to use it to hide any cd/dvd roms/writers.
I haven't had a go at PoP yet so I can only tell you what usually works. Load disk image in D4 and make sure you only have one virtual drive running disable other d4 virtuals plus any alcohol virtuals.
Once image is loaded start sfn Click on disable CD. Usually you have to wait a little while before the status bar changes back from procceessing to starforce once it has click on disable node you won't have to wait nearly as long this time then click 'Pri.Mas-Sl Off' since both your real cd roms are on your primary channel.

The first time you do this check to make sure it has worked by opening My Computer in windows explorer. If it has worked your cd/dvd roms/writers will no longer be displayed in explorer.

Start up game normally and hopefully you'll get the' spinning silver disk'

Keep in mind that the new version of SF that is included in KK and POP T2T does a check for all IDE optical drives at a very low level.

Hiding these drives through software tricks like SFer, SFN, even via Device Manager usually will not work. In most cases you HAVE to physically disconnect your optical drives before you boot up.

The only exceptions to unplugging your optical drives that I hear of is if you have an nforce3/4 chipset in your rig. SF can not detect optical drives on such a system. You can then run SFN to hide the drive in Windows.

On my P4 rig I unplugged my burner. I have both A120 and DT4 on my system. All I do is mount the game with DT4 and play the game. I do not need to run any other programs to hide my virtual drives. Not even the A120 drive.

Its actually very easy. You just need one virtual drive on at any given time . Then remove the IDE cables of all your physical cd drives. Then reboot and mount image on DT 4 and play the game . It works Very Happy

1 and 2 are still amazing.
