hy guys have a problem got Pop3 to run using the new controller card i got but now all my other starforce games that i have made copies that used to run dont run anymore>??for instance king kong used to verify from the disk now it says to insert it into another drive> I dont get it can someone help me out thnkz...the only thing plugged into the controler card is the dvd player and my dvd burner,,,i have my cd writer connected to mother board Asus P4 e-deluxe.the game used to verify of the dvd player liteon now it ask to put into new drive...

so what your telling me is to connect all the dvd and cd roms onto the controller card..the only thing to leave on the motherboard is the hardd rive? please i am lost here thnkz.much appreciatted for your help guys.

Yes, that's it, no optical drives on your motherboard, only HDDs. Put all your roms on that controller, no matter it's a CD drive or DVD drive

Hi,
I also have problems with starforce protected games. So you tell me, when i buy a pci ide controller card and connect my dvd rw writer en dvd rom onto that card. The games should be working??? Also, when that is done, how do you tell to the computer too disconnect the card or something. When the pci card is installed, what goes on from there? Please help me. Thank you

connect all the dvd and cd roms onto the controller card..the only thing to leave on the motherboard is the hardd rive the game then mount in deamon tools and run insert key if it ask then wait,,,do nothing in bios,,it worked for me thnkz to all that helped me out.

Hi all, hope someone here can advise me, if i only connect my cdrom to the IDE card i get a boot disk failure, however if i also connect my HD also to the card all runs fine BUT all my ribbon cables are now too short, i was hoping just to run my roms from the PCI card and keep the HD on the motherboard, how do i set this up ?
