Seeing as alot of people on here are from Europe, I was wondering if we had any Eurodance fans out there.
Sure, most of the lyrics are cheesy as hell and there's no denying it was commercialized to an early grave.
However, most of the beats are pretty fuckin wicked, and some of the lyrics worthy of mention.

E-Rotic, Sex Appeal, Missing Heart (all projects of Lyane Leigh), she had beautiful vocals, although the lyrics were pretty run of the mill. But hey, they all dealt with fucking, that gets props right? Very Happy

Ace of Base on the other hand had some great lyrics (although some argue their style as non Eurodance).

Solid Base , some solid fuckin songs there, with a great beat.

Some singles worthy of mention, DJ Valium - Doin It Again
DJ Valium - Spirit of Yesterday
DJ Amigo - Dreamland 2 (all insturmental, and fuckin A)
Tiggy - Why (Euro with a Jazz element, very cool)

So, anyone out there?

I realize the genre is basically dead, and it never really made it here in the States, except in Chicago where its still going kinda strong in the club scene Ive heard.
Still an awesome, underappreciated genre in my opinion though. What killed it are those greedy fuckin euro record labels.

listened to some of the stuff (e.g. e-rotic - max dont have sex with your ex Laughing )
when i was 15 (11 years ago)
nowadays it sounds a bit too cheesy & generic for me
(same goes for crap (imo) like hardstyle & harddance),
granted i listen to italo disco sometimes and the cheese factor is high too
but they had some great basslines & flair back then Smile
