I have a problem, when i go to photoshop and choose red color(R:255,G:0,B:5;C:0,M:99,Y:100,K:0), and insert those exactly the same numbers in InDesign it just isn't the same colour! In InDesign the red is darker and in Photoshop more glowing...why? how can i fix it or get the same colour?help! Confused

do you guys even have a clue?

dreamweaver is an html editor.

indesign is a layout programm for creating print products.

that's like two completely different things.

instead of giving him some help you just make fools out of yourself.

well you can either have one. rgb or cmyk. since you work in indesign and therefor i presume creating something that is to be printed...you got to go with cmyk. rgb is the mixing of colors via light. cmyk is mixing colors by well colors...like in printing something. so make sure the photoshopdocument is converted to CMYK. the second thing is since your monitor is not able to show real cmyk values....cause it works with RGB and can't correctlly show CMYK colors. so be sure....make a proof print of whatever you want to print and see how the colors turn out. usually in CMYK everything looks darker and RGB shows more vibrant colors. so i guess nothing is wrong with your indesign.

also indesign is way better than quark express for example and i am laughing about that vodka dude again cause he came back to make fun of the thread starter again hehehe.

well, last year I was working with Pagemaker 7, where colours in cmyk profile were exactly the same as rgb, and then i got the InDesign which is much better than pagemaker, but I was worried that the whole paper would be dark red cause that is the colour that i get when i set cmyk to ex. M:100, Y:100 C,K:0 and not light- glowing red like in rgb... about that dreamweaver guy... it was pretty odd that he mentioned that cause my friend used it in his making of web site, and i am making the publication which has nothing to do with web.thanx for help
