Ok I have a VERY weird problem...

Sicne two gays, I can't access some sites, such as google.com, gmail.com , can't connect to my poker server, etc... . I have no firewall and my rooter is configured properly. So I formated tough it was windows crapping and same result... So I bring my computer to a friend's home who lives 2 roads up from here and everything works A-1. That means, it's not the ISP fo shizzle. Sooo, what are my options here ? I really need to check my emails Neutral

Thanks alot.

Tom.

Just to be sure, you should start eliminating factors from the equation...

ie. unplug yourself from your router and plug that computer directly to your internet connection.

If your computer works somewhere else just fine, it can't be the computer itself... something else on your network must be doing it.

If you have a router that must mean there are other computers in the house, yes? Anything suspicious with the other computers in the house lately?

Try googling up links to the problem sites and then connecting instead of using bookmarks, assuming you are using bookmarks.
Try using an alternate browser.

- Try to get an nslookup to the sites you want to connect to.
- Ping their IP's and see if you get any response.
- Traceroute them, maybe you can see that they all stop at the same hop.
- Have you tried any other Computers with that router, and maybe you can borrow your friends router.
- Try to connect without the router, just a DSL/Cable modem.
- It could still be a problem of your ISP even if your friend lives two blocks away. Maybe
you two connect to a different router of your ISP, do you have DSL or Cable?, the Radius Server from my DSL Provider is sometimes fucked up and shows the weirdest symptoms.
