Im trying to play BFME lan style with a bud, but BFME and Hamachi fight over CPU usage and the games always disconnect.

What are some programs that will allow me and a friend to play BFME on lan?

Battlelan and GIT (Gamer's Internet Tunnel) are two other programs that allow you to play LAN over the Net but Hamachi is the better by far.

im no n00b man, i know what VPN is.. it stands for virtual private network. and its a private data network that makes use of the public telecommunication infrastructure, maintaining privacy through the use of a tunneling protocol and security procedures. The idea of the VPN is to give the company the same capabilities at much lower cost by using the shared public infrastructure rather than a private one.

hahahha priceless!! At least he did google it Smile oh but it's VPN not VNC Smile

In fact this is used primary to play games who only work in lan (or have protection over internet but not over lan) by internet. It fake a lan over two IP over internet. Really cool for some games to play online.

I was aware of GIT and BattleLan but not Hamachi, thx for the name!

hahahha xfire and msn voice chat hahahahahah

btw on topic, you could maybe set priority in task manager for hamachi a little lower than bf.

might work, might not try it out.
