Im trying to play BFME lan style with a bud, but BFME and Hamachi fight over CPU usage and the games always disconnect.
What are some programs that will allow me and a friend to play BFME on lan?

Battlelan and GIT (Gamer's Internet Tunnel) are two other programs that allow you to play LAN over the Net but Hamachi is the better by far.

im no n00b man, i know what VPN is.. it stands for virtual private network. and its a private data network that makes use of the public telecommunication infrastructure, maintaining privacy through the use of a tunneling protocol and security procedures. The idea of the VPN is to give the company the same capabilities at much lower cost by using the shared public infrastructure rather than a private one.
