I'm sure many of you download [perfectly legal files of an undisclosed nature] from newsgroups. I'm sure most of you use newsleecher for this. Don't get me wrong, Newsleecher is a great program, when you can get it working. That's the hard to impossible part though, unless you have a good release, most of the stuff online is either soggy crap that doesn't work in the first place, or easily becomes corrupted by newsleecher's extraordinarily resilliant, though primitive, protection schemes.
So, I'm now officially done with Newsleecher, and if you're having problems with it as well, NZB-O-Matic doesn't have the nice UI or the ability to search/browse newsgroups, but it does have the ability to import NZB files and download from them, and that it does well.

Grabit.. easy and does the job well. Plus the limited search function does come in handy at times, more so if you only download very few things like me.

Aye, I actually purchased a license for Newsbin a few weeks back. Figured the guy deserved my support after all these years. Bit pricey in my opinion, but hell, I feel all warm and fuzzy.
5.05 is great. Large header downloads seem alot smoother. Great GUI.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

grabit is the best, tried all others,
newsleecher fucks up often and newsbin is simply inconvenient.
grabit works perfectly.

BNR2. It's free and very powerful, but at the same time buggy and not very user friendly. I almost feel like I'm running LUNIX !!!

Sometimes Newsleecher doesn't complete parts when you've been using alot of servers. Other times it downloads complete rar's but they end up being missing. Most of the time it's great but it does fuck up occasionally.
Grabit produces text files instead of binaries sometimes, and there's no way you can recover.
Neither is perfect!

I've tried others, but grabit is easy to use.
If you hate it, ignore it.
