It looks quite nice, though what do you think of it so far? I honestly want to avoid downloading 1.5GB if I can.

according to Penny Arcade its ass. They mucked it up good. I'm going to download it over night. Stress test is 17th - 21st. 4 days should give a good idea how bad they mucked it up.

I was accepted for the Alpha/Beta of this some time ago. Got an email a few weeks back saying the NDA has been lifted. Thus, my thoughts are as follows:

First time I played the Alpha, I got a horrid impression.
Launched it a few weeks back to see what has changed, and surprise surprise, its still shit.

Graphics: Bland, ugly.
Gameplay/Interface: Clunky, ugly. Battles feel stiff and contrived. Simply don't feel right at all (I'm a longtime Neverwinter Nights player, so I'm pretty farmilliar with AD&D type combat, as well as other types of combat such as Everquest). Whichever category you look at it from, it was simply subpar in all respects.
Sound: Nothing special here either.

I really thought this would be cool...but after grinding away about 8 hours on the alpha/beta, I can honestly say its not worth your time or money. Wait for Vanguard.

I'm also in a beta for this game and it is terrible. Stay away. I can't believe they'll charge full price (50$ and 15$ monthly) for this Guild Wars and NWN combined but 100 times as worse piece of shit.
