|

I've downloaded some movies with AC3 audio, but I'm having problems with sound volumes. Sometimes they are really low and I can't hear them at all, even at max volume on my speakers. Sounds sort of shift in and out between high and low volume.
I've installed the AC3Filter from www.doom9.org and I have only got two speakers. I've tried to tweak the volumes in AC3Fitler config, but with no luck.

I thought you could go to the configuration and increase the level, gain, etc ? This always helps me when I find something with low volume...

yes, even if you raise the gain level to the max (i think it's 20) you can still fill in any other gain value you want, i once set it to 45 for anything to hear.

Ok, but some of the problem is that the sound-level isn't the same throughout the movie. It goes up and down, so some places the sounds i really high, and other places it's very low.

same happened to me once.. my work pc only had 2 speakers. so in the ac3filter config i changed the output from 5.1 channels to 2/0 stereo, it solved my high-low volume issue..

Yeah, that sounds logical, but the settings are at 2/0 Stereo already.
