I personally seemed to like Mesmerize from the start...but this last album....I just don't know. It seems a little rushed to me. Also, for the record, System of a Down was the worst band I've ever seen live.....period.

Ok, after been hearing this for some time now I get used to it and I have found some great tracks along the way:

Dreamng, Shes Like Heroin, Lonely Day,

The Bas/guitarist is still in focus on this album though he doesnt "shout" out like on "Mesmerize". Its more calm and sounds alot better!

woohhoooo this album is MUCH better then mesmerize! Your talking about Darron who plays guitar, i must admit hes messing things up, all credit he has a good voice but he should stick with guitar playing!

This album sounds alot like their old stuff, lots of fast playing crazyness Laughing Attack is an example of that, U-fig is pretty good as well, Vicinity of obscenity is pretty weird.

Its nice to see that they are trying out styles from their older albums, im a pretty big system fan but i REALLY hated the normal version of holy mountains. Holy mountains was one of my fav system songs, they only played it live and it sounded brilliant but as we all have picked up the dam guitar player is sticking his beak in and screwing up the songs ESP holy mountain, i really hate the version on the album, here check out the original (and the best!):

MP3's are bad

None of that stupid sqweaking sound!

Overall its a pretty good album, kinda has a hit of asian/indian influence doesnt it Smile

I agree. This CD is much better than Mesmerize. Also agree about Darron. He's singing isn't that great and gets in the way. Glad he's used less in this one. In the last CD it felt like he was the main singer.

Man, I must be the only one who really loved the "rock opera" feel of Mesmerize. It was awesome, I don't see any other band that could pull off some of the shit System does. I'm looking forward to see...err hear how this one compliments Mesmerize. Though the title track has me kinda iffy...but if it's one thing I've learnt, System is like a fine wine that tastes better with age (takes awhile to warm up to their kind of music)

i can has computar?!

mesmerize is better then hypnotize. hypnotize just sucks. there are no good parts . mesmerize already was much weaker then normal soad stuff, its more punklike.
