Hi, i have a thomson drive in my xbox (VERSION 1.2) and just wondered if anyone knew which dual layer DVD-R or +R's would work with it? I've tried a couple or brands and no luck and it seems almost impossible to get hold of a samsung drive, can anyone help? thanks
Thompsons are crap (as you know) its trial and error on all xbox drives and media im afraid.
Try looking at xbox-scene.com in there forums, I am sure they have a Duel layer post there somewhere where people have listed what they have tryed and what worked etc... in what drives.

No one that I know has used DL media on the Xbox yet, and I do not think it works for games. If you need to reduce the disc size, you can use the BINK editor and shirnk the FVM sequences to full compression. The video quality is reduced, but so is the size.
