Thats true but having been a gamer for 15 years I know the difference between good and bad framerates and I have no issues with my Xbox 360 version of the game.

ive played the demo on my 360 and the full version at a kiosk... both had noticable stutters... even some reviews say that... though... they say its not that bad... which i think is wrong... i wouldve bought nfs and not pgr3 if it didnt have the stutters... but i just couldnt play it...

Yep based on the demo off the marketplace NFSMW is nearly unplayable at SD (normal TV) and even worse at 720p. At the same time one of the best selling games on the 360 and the most pathetic excuse of a port I've seen for a long time.
So far EA has only one 360 game (demo) that runs properly and thats FNR3, mostly thanks to the fact that you can toss together a closed and limited scene (one single room, two fighters) like that more easily, whereas actually optimizing more open-ended games takes time (and time is money, EA doesnt like to optimize).
007 has all the gadgets. Batman has a utility belt! 007 drives a fancy car. Batman has the Batmobile! 007 gets all the ladies. Batman has ROBIN!!!

see, i'm right, i brought it and just couldn't play it as the stutter (to me) was so noticeable (background) that it was too distracting. (maybe some people are more susceptible to framerate than others)
To me it was a bad port and just hope this isn't going to be the trend on ports, but then again there shouldn't be too many ports left from xbox to xbox360 meaning hopefully better optimization for the actual hadware its designed for)

By this I meant that for a short interval after their release, console games will equal or possibly surpass PC games in terms of graphics. As the technology becomes older and oldr, PC games pass it, and rather quickly. Developers for consoles do make games look much better as the age of the console increases, but it never passes PC's again. At least in my experience, and I suppose that's not enough to make inferences here as these are a new breed with the capability of HD output which automatically made consoles less than attractive in the past for me at least.

True, sad but true. Luckily I have been working with an old ATI 9700 for the past 4 years and have plenty of money to spend, both on a new mobo/cpu/ram/vid card and the ps3 and revolution
TheBugulous wrote: | Cheez-It wrote: | To each his own. But neither will die. Console will on the other hand move until they are so close to being PCs that... Yeah. That's right. PC > you. | Just enter a Game or Electronic Boutique and scope out the PC titles ... hey they're all on 1-2 shelves at the back of the store |
Touche. Although I should point out that the best things in life are not always the most popular. Remember who won the election in America? They just want to sell what makes the most money...

ahhhha ahhhh OMG great pics
I keep say PC for gaming is on its way out....
Games are being developed for the console first now...Thats a major change.
Lots of games are being made just for the console like Fight night round 3, burnout, Full auto many many more.
Games are getting harder to crack. Most PC gamers warez
I'm getting sick of upgrading my system for 1 or 2 great games...like halflife2 and Fear
Xbox live is amazing...nothing can touch it.

For the 360 I have to say Xbox Live is pretty crap. Having played COD2 and RR6 on Xbox Live I am far from impressed. It is good for the arcade games and video/demo downloads.
May the NFOrce be with you always.

It's got more tracks, cars, and the live is totally redone so it's not just the same game.
I had the game for regular xbox. Got rid of it so I could get th 360 version.

Obviously damage modelling and visual effects are going to be far superior also.

But they have added a few more tracks and cars, thats good. It's more of a special edition version then. |

No, I barely played the others. They are great, but racing games have never been my kind of game.
What I was wondering was if this was just another port, like so many others on the xbox360.
But it wasn't, and that's good.
