Quote: | OVERHEID FAALT BIJ AANPAK COMPUTERCRIMINALITEIT
first part is pretty cool but I whas shocked when 1 guy in the clip tells about gaming...
game company's that like want to release a game on october 25 will get a e-mail from "release groups" telling if they dont want to put 25K euro on some swiz bank account they will release the game on the internet 2 or more weeks before release as they already cracked it!

It could very well be a stunt to criminalise release groups, and produce further hate towards the subject of piracy. I'm not sure how far what I am about to meantion has spread, but here in the UK if you rent a DVD/Video before it begins (in between the trailers) you will bet this very dark portrayal of "the scene" and how it helps to feed drug trafficing and other such crimes. Obviously this is utter shit, but it doesnt stop 80% of the population beliving it .. |
i believe so to
but i have no doubt they make money of cracking. if not money then free stuff

It's dutch for:
Companies are getting more & more affected(?) with cybercriminality
Also banks, chemical factories, ministeries & hospitals are getting attacked dailey by hackers
The police & Justice (?) fail at tackling this criminality
sry for the bad translation though :/

Seems kind of ridiculous (and downright stupid if they want to keep a low profile) demanding 25k, when that same pirated copy is going to be resold thousands of times in asia...

For sure is fake, how stupid must one be to threaten companies with money demands. This would be the most lame thing ever and is imo only a thing they brought up because ppl prolly asked why some starforce games get cracked and some dont.
Lamest shit i have ever read. They dont leave any gap out to make ppl believe cracking groups are criminals. What is next? Cracking Group plans terrorism attack?
Come on, get real.

Uh, isnt that extortion? and in combo with the piracy laws, wouldnt that carry like a 10 year sentence....
I dont believe it for a second. I do believe that SOME, very few companies, have made the occasional deal with the groups, but its not common i'd say.
Like, I think UbiSoft made a deal with rld (atleast) or any group capable or will be capable of cracking SC:CT - why hasnt that been cracked? That would make a statement. Like "Starforce is finally done" sort of msg...kinda like the holy grail of SF games right now, imo.
Even still tho, how would the companies enforce a deal with the groups? Obviously, its not a legal deal....and obviously the companies dont have sensitive/personal info on the group and its members....so what would prevent the groups from keeping say 25K, saying the wont release Game X, and then release it anyway.
Its not like rld doesnt have the feds on their assess anyway.
Naw, I highly doubt that shit goes on.

SC CT hasnt been cracked because they used the highest possible protection level, else we would see it.

russians have always been the best hackers and i applaud these guys on what they achieved with starforce.
believe me in a country thats fucked up with such a bad economy, everyone who manages to earn something legally is to be applauded.

I'd pick a korean fanatical hacker over a russian, any day.
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.
