This is not a recent game, this is not a commercial game, in fact it's a pretty ugly game made by only one guy, using some program called "Game Maker Game". Still it's the best game done with this shit and it got me trilled for a few weeks. This game is soo fun, maybe graphics sux but the gameplay is really what games should be.

If you like plateform games and "fast retry" games like tony hawk and trackmania you will like this, it's soo frustrating you can't stop playing. Give it a try you'll see Smile There is even a wikipedia article about it lol.

You can also try http://www.helixgamesinc.com/games/JumperRedux.html wich is a remake of the first one with some extra levels. (no wall jump in this one)

nah i'm not joking sorry if I botter someone with this thread but I actually like this game very much Smile It's not for the graphic whores but it's for old-schoolers.

I only post my discovery for thoses like me who have time to loose and always seek a new mini games for some quick fun.

Maybe you should try the game up the mid chapter 2 to get the game feeling and then come back talk about it.

Gish was fun, but not exactly the same genre. I think I like this one more Smile

Very fun little game! It's sad that almost all "modern games" are all about flashy graphics and the actual gameplay is a secondary thing.

BTW if you enjoyed this game and Gish, you might also want to check out Pogo Sticker. Made by oldschool scenepeople for oldschool scenepeople. direct download link

On the topic of independant games, has anyone played the game _Golf?_? It's this golfing game where everything is wireframe and such. You have to see it to really know what it's like. I'm pretty sure the public beta is still going, have a look at www.golfquestionmark.com .

Great gfx, very bizare style. I don't quite like golf and think the gameplay is boring but it's still good. I just can't understand,.. vehicles are wayyy harder to code than a simple golf game and you can drive the car but it's not the first goal of the game.

Maybe we should rename this thread to "great indepedant games discovery" or something like that...

or "the sexy small games treasure hunt" Very Happy

then we could all speak like the pirates we are

yaargh, there be bounty in ye olde intarweb. Hear ye, hear ye, my (netscape) navigator informed me of a treasure hidden in the seven seas, the only thing you have to do is shoot monkeys Very Happy (does anybody even remember those pesky banner-ads?)
He also informed me of a chance to increase my long-john silver with a voodoo recipe called viagarrrgh.
