Damnit! Since nvidia 6800GT's for AGP are a rarity in shops in the netherlands (and probably in more countries) I went looking for a 6800GT on ebay. After bidding on a few ones I finaly got lucky and became the winning bidder on an eVGA 6800GT for about 230 euro's (including shipping fee it was 279 dollars so not that cheap after all....). But ofcoarse, it was to be expected that I would end up buying it from some kind of loser who didn't send the graphics card and doesn't reply to my emails anymore.

So I just opened a complaint (I was referred to paypal since I made the payment with paypal). The seller has 10 days to respond to my complaint and if he doesn't respond the buyers claim will be granted...But I don't really know what that means because I read that ebay only refunds up to 200 dollars which includes 25 dollars fee for opening a complaint...so do I get 175 dollars and don't end up with a 6800 GT??? Or will the seller refund the whole amount of money...anyway, I don't expect that the graphics card will be in my mailbox tomorrow...It's too suspicious that the seller doesn't respond to my emails...

Anyone of you got problems with some ebay users? Did it end up okay? Try to keep my hope up high Smile

I hate how if the seller isn't getting the price he wants, he can cancel the auction.

I should think the seller pays the $25.00. I never payed anything on a claim I made just before christmas.

If you don't get a full refund I would just contact my credit card company and do a chargeback..stuff-em

I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

My wife ordered some dress patterns from the UK off of Ebay a few months back. When we hadnt heard from the sellers after a couple of weeks, we contacted Paypal. They sent email to the sellers and told us they had 10 days to respond. After 10 days, there was no response and we got 100% of our money back.. Total amout refunded was $230 or so, including what we paid for shipping.

Also, ditto on what jonels said.. If you bought it on a credit card, dispute the charge.. You'll always get all of your money back that way.
