OK hopefully this is in the right section...
Got a friend who does alot of online business stuff shares etc... and wants to have like a bunch of protection on his pc so he wont get viruses/hacked...
Atm the laptop stands with the follow
Winxp sp2.
Firefox
MS antispyware
Nod32 antivirus
Zonealarm
Does Daily adaware scans And web eraser on startup
Uses roboforms for secure passwords
And uses a modem router for internet.
Only things ive thought of for suggestions is a linux firewall. And if not using linux itself as his base of OS kinda thing.. Any other possible programs you think he should be running?

spyware doctor (not free though) instead of ms crap, spybot s&d and spywareblaster for free ones. make a hardware firewall out of old pc parts and have that between the pc and the first firewall/modem for extra security

You got a guide on that? Could be cool to have the server working as a firewall.
