I was going to go back and play my old Baldur's Gate. But I remembered what a pain it was with all the disk swapping during game play. I was wondering if anyone knew how to back up multi cd's on to 1 DVD and play off that. Any help would be appreciated.

Write the images onto a dvd then mount using daemon tools.

if im not mistaken boulders gate is big enough to put on one dvd, mount from the dvd...i think thats what jenni means im not sure though, probly is just clarifying...or you could just get a no cd icon...were though , it out there look...the no cd would probly be less time consuming

What I mean is make an image of each of the cd's. Put each of the cd images onto a dvd, although it may take more than one blank dvd. You don't need a no cd. Balders gate had no protection.
Mount each image in Daemon tools and install. Then play.
Have fun.

Meh, that method is really no quicker than swapping cds. Odds are you could just makes isos of all the cds. Then extract the isos to one folder. Burn the contents of that folder onto dvd. This has worked for me with some games, and it doesnt even come up and ask for the next cd. And if it does ask for the cd. Odds are you can just push enter becasue it will find the contents of the next cd on your dvd.
I did this with 4 (or was it 5) cds of MOH Pacific assault and it worked flawlessly. Didnt ask for a cd change.
There are other meathods of doing the same thing if that doesnt work, just cant find the linkage right now.

Thxs for all the help. I found cd 2 thru 5 only contained a single folder labeled CD 2, CD 3 and so on, so I was able to create 1 single DVD. I simply copied all contents from all disks and created one image and burned to DVD. I have made it to the third town where it used to ask for disk swap and it hasn't yet. So it obiously is picking up the content from the DVD I made.
I would also like to comment that this is the first posting I have made here but not the first time I have visited. I have solved many problems here. That search button and the people who post here are awesome. Good job guys.
