When running Quake 4, I am getting really bad performance. When running at 1024x768 low detail, the game appears to run the first single player level at under 15fps. My specs are:
Pentium 4 2.8GHz
1GB PC3200 DDR (running in dual channel)
128mb Radeon 9600
WinXP SP2
Quake 4 v1.04 w/TNT patch

Has there been a no-keycheck crack for 1.05? Just wondering though, why have I seen it run better on GeForce4s (which are quite a bit less powerful than the 9600)?

I would check 2 things:
- make sure you have newest drivers
- check if aa/anizo isn't set somewhere in drivers etc (dunno about catalyst, but in forceware there is quality setting - max performance/optimal/best quality etc, check that too)

Sorry if its obvious for you, but you haven't mentioned it in your post.

and to add some info Quake 4 runs better on Ge-forces but they fixed the problem with ATIs in this 1.05 patch so wait if its get cracked or check the setting that Rzooq mentioned
