Sublime is totaly right using the ICMP ping command is the quickest, and easyist way to obtain the IP address of a site.
You will just need to to bring up your command prompt. Start>Run>cmd>enter. Let me know if you need tips on using a CLI (command line interface).

sublime is correct.
But if you want a more detailed info, google for the RIPE database, and just insert the url. You will get the ip/adress/phone numer/site owner .....
