Sounds like your burner is broken.. test it in another machine..
Can you read from it?
Is there any reason for you to think its working ok?

Nope i think it should be ok, sometimes it writes and sometimes it does not.
And it reads without any problem, it seems as it just forgets itself while burning:-(
And i cant even begin to understand why the frimware and the nerocleaner cant find it!

did you check the cabling, and put the drive in another box just like syn said, it's the fastest way to find out if it's the drive.

I updated the firmware and reinstalled the drivers but i still got the same error so i ripped it out of my comp and threw it in the garbage!
Now i'm burning with my new 3550A
pisses me of though since i had only burnt around 200 discs with the old one
