did you pay for it, or did you have a hacked one?
Because, if you paid for it, they ll know where you live, so delete your pr0n and hide in the basement =)
Some basic tips. If you have to be so stupid as to rent a server that other people easily can access and where others can monitor your traffic, get one where only you have root access, no shared shit, and encrypt the stored data and the connection up- and downlinks. AND let that server be located in another country, preferably one that has very weak legislature when it comes to copyright infringement and piracy, so the cops will have a harder time, if they get something on you, because you were so intelligent as to get stuff from insecure sources...

Well, I live about 500 miles away from my server, and I always use a Sweedish proxy to upload and download. The man who runs the server knows what to do in case of an emergency. We have an FXP emergency protocol rerouting all data to a computer in Jerusalem, where every hting is encrypted with 64-bit encryption until it arrives in Dhaka, Bangladesh, where we have another server that takes that 64-bit encrypted data from a HTTPS server that resides in London and activates the FOX encryption protocol, which almost no one can decrypt. And the whole process takes about 3 minutes! So in emergencies, data goes from the unnamed server location to three servers, one in LA, one in Fresno, California, and one in Norway, where all data at risk of loss is immediately stored, while the leftover data is transferred to Jerusalem (we don't have a server here, we use a computer with Apache installed) and encrypted 64-bit, from where it goes to London on a HTTPS server and is transferred to Dhaka, Bangladesh, where it is encrypted in the FOX protocol. I think that is the best system. It would take cops weeks to find everything, while in hours I can have the tapes in the servers removed and transferred to a secure location.
No, the server was owned by ME. I host other sites there, but I own the server.
Weird0, the cops willl not catch me. I spent $1,000 to get all the SSL liscenses (sp?), $3,000 for the rights to the FOX protocol, and $15,000 on the servers and computers. That is almost $20,000. All up-front. I made back $14,000 of that $19,000 so far.

I mean I dedicated 100GB of the server to loan out legitly. My friend owns a hosting company that is renting that 100GB right now. They are selling my space so that they can pay me back and earn profit.

ok, sorry if i offended you with my preconception-based questions then.
Are you sure it was killed by feds and not perhaps a hardware malfunction?

hahahaha, and you really think that a post like that on an open forum would get any cop anywhere to get anybody even near a cell-door?

No.
But the cops already seized his shit right? So obviously they suspect something. So they are gunna check him out. And yeah, they will find out he posts here, since this site is related to warez in a way, read his comments, print out a hard copy and call it a day.
and I dont think the cops would go after a 200GB server. Really, u can find IRC channels offering more shit than that. like 10 times more shit you know?
Thats why i think its bullshit still.

thats cool too, if they want to come arrest a hardworking, taxpaying pothead, no problem. the amount of ganja i smoke weekly, i'd only get a ticket for anyway I know because ive had my bag on me and been stopped, just a ticket and a promise to appear (in court).

"17 February 2006
OVER 1000 MOST DANGEROUS HACKERS, CRACKERS AND GAME PIRATES ARRESTED
17 February a.d. 2006 will certainly be quoted in future as one of the most succesful days in history of battle between software thiefs and Police. International raid bringed over 1000 hackers to face the inevitable. Intelligent provocation by Police on one of the forums known as NFOrce eventually led to capture large number of people known to be active members of something called the "NFOrce scene". Among arrested was many famous hackers and crackers: "Lutzifer", "deelix", "SycoShaman" and many others known only by their aliases.
Police confiscated over 200000000 gigabytes of illegal computer software and over 9000000000000000000000000000000000 gigabytes of porn and 6 dildos.
John Frankencraxor from the Police said: "That was the biggest action of this type ever on such a large scale and I must say I'm proud of my men, those were really dangerous people, I'm glad they're behind the bars."
Maybe we finally can feel more sheltered from internet crime.
